Ravens hopeful Steve Smith can play in Week 6
Sat out Week 5 with four microfractures in his back

There's a shot that injured Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith will play Sunday at San Francisco and miss only one game with four micro fractures in his back. Coach John Harbaugh doesn't know whether Smith will practice this week, but he indicated that the Ravens' leading receiver has been training hard. "I'm hopeful," Harbaugh said Monday. "Very hopeful. There's always a chance with Steve Smith. Always. Never rule Steve Smith out." (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Smith is as tough as they come, so it is entirely possible he can go against the 49ers in Week 6. Harbaugh also told ESPN RB Justin Forsett doesn't have a high ankle sprain, giving him "a chance" to suit up in the same game. Expect both to be game-time decisions, with Forsett the more likely of the two to play versus San Francisco.
