Grab a Helmet

1) Ezekiel Elliott @ Denver

The Broncos have a top-10 pass defense and a bottom-10 run defense (31st at 29.3 FPts/G). After a couple of decent games, Elliott struggled against the Chiefs last Sunday, but should improve in this one, assuming Rhamondre Stevenson will once again be sidelined by his high ankle injury. Elliott is averaging 22 touches over his last three starts.

Bijan Robinson

2) Bijan Robinson vs. Indianapolis

Robinson was underutilized against the Panthers last Sunday after an early game fumble (eight touches). That should be in the past and Robinson should again see his normal workload. He had averaged 19.5 touches per game in the previous four contests. Meanwhile, the Colts run defense has allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing running backs (26.3 FPts/G) and the second-most rushing touchdowns (14).

3) Aaron Jones @ Carolina

People run a lot on the Panthers because they are successful at it. They have allowed a league-high 21 touchdowns to opposing backs (17 rushing, four receiving). After missing three games due to injury, Jones saw a solid 17 touches against Tampa Bay and should be in line for more against Carolina. AJ Dillon will likely miss another game with his broken thumb suffered in Week 14.

Grab some Pine

1) Ty Chandler vs. Detroit

People don’t run against the Lions defense. They have allowed a league-low 868 rushing yards or 62 ypg. Chandler had a career-day last weekend against Cincinnati, so when the team sees the film, there is no chance they overlook his performance. They will be ready.

2) Tyler Goodson/Trey Sermon @Atlanta

Ignore this if Jonathon Taylor makes his return from a broken thumb. Zack Moss said he wants to play, but his shoulder injury last Sunday makes him doubtful as well. That leaves Goodson and Sermon to man the position against the second-ranked Falcons’ run defense (17.1 FPts/G). The Falcons have allowed zero rushing touchdowns to opposing running backs in 14 games this season.

3) Saquon Barkley @ Philadelphia

Why run the ball when you can go against this Swiss cheese Eagles’ pass defense? Barkley’s second half of the season has been one of extremes. Over the past five games he’s produced two games over 25 fantasy points and three games under eight fantasy points. He usually plays well against the Eagles, averaging almost 98 yards from scrimmage over seven games, but at this point in the season, with no playoffs on the horizon, will he be motivated?
