Jonah Coleman lands on IR, out four games Sprained ankle By: Mike Krueger | Sat Sep 26, 4:26 pm

| | Source: With a high-ankle sprain, Broncos RB Jonah Coleman now will miss the next few games and be placed on short-term injured reserve today.

FFToday's Take: Coleman was a hot waiver wire pickup early in the week, only to find out later he has a sprained ankle. For the next four weeks, the Broncos will feature J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey at running back with Dobbins handling the majority of early-down work.

| Dobbins and Harvey practice in full on Thursday Jonah Coleman remained sidelined with ankle issue By: Mike Krueger | Thu Sep 24, 6:51 pm

| | Good news for the Broncos:
J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey were both upgraded to full participants in practice.
Jonah Coleman still a DNP (Zac Stevens on X)
FFToday's Take: It's looking like we might get Dobbins and Harvey as fantasy options for Week 3, while Coleman will be on the outside looking in. The Broncos play Sunday night against the Rams so hopefully we'll get definitive word before the early games on Sunday. The Rams held the 49ers and Giants running backs out of the endzone in Weeks 1 & 2.

| R.J. Harvey unlikely to play in Week 2 Hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Sun Sep 20, 6:09 am

| | Broncos RB RJ Harvey, listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars due to a hamstring injury, is unlikely to play, per source. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Harvey was limited in practice this week but it sounds like the Broncos are going to error on the side of caution and hold him out Week 2 against the Jaguars. We should get J.K. Dobbins and rookie Jonah Coleman for the bulk of running back snaps with Dobbins likely to lead the tandem in snaps and touches.

| Jonah Coleman making an impression in Denver RB was pulled early after showing well in preseason opener By: Doug Orth | Tue Aug 18, 6:10 pm

| | Rookie RB Jonah Coleman continues to work his way up the depth chart toward a spot in the regular-season rotation, so much so that coach Sean Payton gave Coleman a fairly quick hook from the preseason opener. Coleman played 12 snaps Friday night in Atlanta and had four carries for 24 yards, with his last carry coming with 47 seconds left in the first quarter. Payton said he's seen enough from Coleman on the practice field to get the rookie out of the preseason opener that early.
"I kind of felt it ... and there was a point when he got like two or three carries and I'm like 'alright, I've seen enough,'" Payton said. "I didn't need additional evidence of what I've been seeing for three weeks." (ESPN.com - Jeff Legwold)
FFToday's Take: ESPN.com's Jeff Legwold goes on to say Coleman continues to get practice snaps with the first- and second-team offenses in camp in a variety of situations. At this point, Denver is shaping up to be more of a three-headed backfield than most fantasy managers likely envisioned when Coleman was drafted. Coleman makes sense as an RB4 option to begin the season and could move into RB2 territory later in the season if J.K. Dobbins misses time again.
