Wilson entered the 2024 as a bottom of the roster player after being waived by the Broncos in 2023. Solid special teams play and a need for positional depth kept him on the roster in 2024, but he ended up filling an important role after early season injuries to MarShawn Lloyd and AJ Dillon. Wilson was an effective breather back, as he tallied 500 yards and four scores on the ground, but ultimately, he is a 26-year-old undrafted back playing behind a workhorse, and competing with a much more talented former 3rd round pick. Leave him on the waiver wire and check in if injuries hit.

Josh Jacobs a gametime decision for Week 7 Illness and calf injury By: Mike Krueger | Sat Oct 18, 9:17 pm

| | Packers RB Josh Jacobs, listed as questionable for Sunday due to illness and a calf injury, is now being considered a “true game-time decision” for Sunday’s matchup vs. the Cardinals, per source. The team says it does not expect to know whether he can play until Sunday. If Jacobs is unable to play, Packers RB Emanuel Wilson would be the expected starter. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Jacobs dealt with his illness during last week's game then added a calf issue to his ailments. The team did call up RB Pierre Strong Jr. from the practice squad but it sounds like Jacobs is pushing to play. If he sits, Wilson would be in the RB2 conversation in a matchup against the Cardinals.

| MarShawn Lloyd expected to miss some time Hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Sun Aug 17, 2:07 pm

| | Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Omar Brown (lung) is showing a lot of improvement but is staying overnight again in Indy and could come home tomorrow.
Meanwhile, MarShawn Lloyd is “going to miss some time” with a hamstring injury.
Same with Barryn Sorrell (knee). (Rob Demovsky on X)
FFToday's Take: Lloyd was injured in the Packers second pre-season game and it doesn't sound like he's going to be back at practice anytime soon. He only played in one game last season before suffering an ankle injury in Week 2 that knocked him out for the remainder of the season. At this point, Emanuel Wilson is the swing you want to take late in the drafts for contingent upside if you're targeting Green Bay running backs.
