Alec Pierce dealing with rehab from ankle surgery Clean up procedure will keep him out until training camp By: Mike Krueger | Mon Apr 20, 3:11 pm

| | Alec Pierce won’t participate in the Colts’ offseason workout program, which began Monday, including the organized team activities (OTAs) in late May and June.
“It’ll be training camp,’’ Ballard said of Pierce’s return. “It’s a three-month recovery.’’ (Fox59)
FFToday's Take: Pierce played through ankle pain in 2025 and finally decided to have a procedure done heading into 2026. Pierce signed a new four-year deal in March and is scheduled to be the team's top wideout this season. Pierce is coming if his best fantasy season but 47 receptions is his high-water mark for his four-year career. We'll see if he can recast himself as something more than a deep threat.

| Trade: Michael Pittman Jr. headed to Pittsburgh Steelers sign the veteran to a new three-year deal By: Mike Krueger | Mon Mar 9, 1:01 pm

| | The Steelers are signing newly acquired WR Michael Pittman Jr. to a new three-year, $59 million deal, sources tell The Insiders. So a trade and a new deal for Pittman, who now figures as a key piece in Pittsburgh. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: In a complementary move, the Colts have traded Michael Pittman Jr. to the Steelers for a late-round pick swap. Indianapolis has re-signed Alec Pierce who appears will move up to the No.1 role in the wide receiver room. Pittman (28), is entering his 7th season and will join forces with DK Metcalf in Pittsburgh who is still searching for a quarterback (Aaron Rodgers?). Pierce is currently profiling as a mid-range WR3 until we get confirmation who the Steelers quarterback will be.

| The Colts keep Alec Pierce on staggering new contract $84 million in guarantees By: Mike Krueger | Mon Mar 9, 12:03 pm

| | The Colts and WR Alec Pierce agreed to terms on a massive four-year, $114 million contract extension, sources tell me and @RapSheet.
Indy keeps its top receiver and Pierce gets his payday. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: The deal includes $84 million in guarantees, $60 million fully guaranteed at signing, and a max of $116 million. This move also means that Michael Pittman Jr. could be on the move in a trade. Pierce is coming off his best season (47-1003-6) as the WR24, WR22 in fantasy points per game. He's likely to set career highs this upcoming season and should be valued as a WR2 in redraft leagues.
