Depth Chart
Sometimes all a player needs is a change of scenery. That's what happened with George Pickens in 2025 when he joined the Cowboys and immediately exploded into fantasy stardom. Paired for the first time in his career with an elite passer, Pickens caught 93 passes for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns across 17 games. He is a huge mismatch on the perimeter against most teams and showed that he can make players miss after the catch as well, as he picked up 479 yards after the catch last season -- 12th-most in the NFL.

His draft price is steep now, but the ceiling matches the cost. Defenses have often chosen to bracket Lamb inside, leaving Pickens in single coverage outside. That's a recipe for big plays and touchdown celebrations. Look at Pickens as a high-end WR2 with week-winning upside who can realistically clear top-5 numbers again, especially if Lamb continues to struggle with the nagging injuries that bothered him in 2025.

George Pickens has signed the franchise tag, according to a source. (Todd Archer on X)

FFToday's Take: The Cowboys don't seem interested in working out a long-term deal right now with Pickens and don't want to trade the star receiver either. It's likely we'll see Pickens miss a portion of minicamp but the discourse will heat up if he starts to miss time at training camp in July.
