Depth Chart
Dak Prescott may have put the "cooked" narrative to rest this past year. After missing half the season in 2024, Prescott bounced back and played all 17 games, passing for 4,552 yards and hitting 30 touchdowns with only 10 interceptions. The rushing floor from the past is gone, but his passing volume carries the load since the Cowboys had to pass constantly given their 511 points conceded as a team -- sixth-most in NFL history. While not a great unit, the core of the Dallas offensive line stays intact heading into 2026.

Now 33 years old, Prescott is a veteran and a pure pocket passer, but he has among the best skill position supporting casts in the league. CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Jake Ferguson all return this season, while Ryan Flournoy also returns alongside speedster KaVontae Turpin and field stretching veteran Marques Valdes-Scantling who joined the team during the offseason. Prescott lacks the rushing upside of the elite QBs, but his passing floor makes him a very safe bet to be a steady low-end QB1 who also still has the potential to break into being a top 5 QB again through a highly efficient passing touchdown season, similar to how he and Matthew Stafford performed in 2025. Treat Dak as a safe, low-end QB1 in all formats.
