Jakobi Meyers is one of those boring fantasy receivers who quietly outproduces bigger, flashier names on certain weeks. He arrived in Jacksonville at the trade deadline from the Raiders and immediately started doing what Jakobi Meyers does: delivering steady production without much explosiveness. From Week 10 through the end of the season, Meyers ranked as the WR23 in PPR scoring. That's the kind of weekly reliability successful fantasy teams need.
His consistency isn't limited to one two-month stretch, either. It's been the defining trait of his career. He has posted at least 67 receptions and 804 receiving yards in five consecutive seasons. That's the definition of a possession receiver.
The Jaguars clearly believe in Meyers, as evidenced by the three-year, $60 million extension they gave him. He's the perfect complement to Thomas' explosive, field-stretching skill set. Here's the interesting part: the two receivers aren't all that far apart in draft cost. For my money, I'd rather take Meyers because of the consistency mentioned above. His ceiling isn't close to Thomas', but his floor is the highest among Jacksonville's receivers. And with a current ADP of WR47, Meyers' price is unlikely to climb much higher, unlike Thomas'. If Meyers is your WR4, you're cooking with gas.
