2021 Outlook
Depth Chart
It is hard to imagine a player doing less with 109 targets than what Evan Ingram did last season for the Giants. He had six games of at least nine targets yet managed to post just one game of over 70 receiving yards, and his one touchdown was the lowest of his career.

He ranked 4th in drops with eight and was 15th at the position in red-zone targets. His dreadful play led the Giants to sign free agent tight end Kyle Rudolph, a sign that the team does not fully anticipate Ingram being a full-time starter.

The fact that the team signed Kenny Golladay and used a first-round pick in Kadarius Toney, leads us to believe the days of Engram being a focal point of the offense are over.

Injury Sterling Shepard, Engram back at practice
Kadarius Toney, Kenny Golladay and RB Saquon Barkley work on the side
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Oct 28, 12:27 pm

New York Giants
WR Sterling Shepard (hamstring) returned to practice Thursday. So did TE Evan Engram. Not looking good for WR Kadarius Toney (ankle), WR Kenny Golladay (knee) and RB Saquon Barkley (ankle). Did work on the side with trainers. #giants #MNF (Jordan Raanan on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Giants play Monday night so all of their injured players get an extra day to heal. We should have a better idea of who will play on Saturday but it sounds like it will be at least one more week for Golladay, Toney and Barkely. The Giants have a Bye in Week 10.

Injury Sterling Shepard, DeVante Parker Out for Week 7
Evan Engram, Julio Jones active
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Oct 24, 11:33 am

Miami Dolphins
Actives/Inactives: - #Packers' Preston Smith and Kevin King are out. - #Jets LB CJ Mosley is out. - #Giants WR Sterling Shepard is out, TE Evan Engram is up. - #Patriots LB Dont’a Hightower is out. - WFT CB Will Jackson is out. - Julio Jones is up, MIA’s DeVante Parker is out. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: With Shepard out, the Giants will be relying on Darius Slayton, John Ross and Engram in the passing game. The Dolphins will feature Jaylen Waddle, Preston Williams and tight end Mike Gesicki against the Falcons.

Injury Giants rule out Barkley, Golladay and Toney
Shepard, Engram, Slayton all listed as Questionable
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 22, 1:39 pm

New York Giants
The #Giants ruled out 3 weapons with more questionable: - RB Saquon Barkley (ankle), WR Kenny Golladay (knee), WR Kadarius Toney (ankle) all out. - TE Evan Engram (calf), WR John Ross (hamstring), WR Sterling Shepard (hamstring), WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) all questionable. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Giants beat reporters believe that all of the Questionable players will play. Shepard will be a solid PPR WR2 against the Panthers. Evan Engram's best game of the season was a 4-55-0 line in Week 5 against Dallas.

Injury Evan Engram out for Week 2
Calf injury
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 15, 12:39 pm

New York Giants
The #Giants ruled out TE Evan Engram with a calf injury, as he’ll miss his second straight game. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Engram missed Week 1 with a calf injury and will sit the bench again on a short week. In his absence Kyle Rudolph posted a 2-8-0 line on five targets against the Broncos. Both tight ends are off the fantasy radar for now.

Injury Evan Engram a long-shot for Week 1
Calf injury
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Sep 6, 8:10 am

New York Giants
From @GMFB: #Giants RB Saquon Barkley (knee) is close to being fully cleared. Meanwhile, TE Evan Engram (calf) hasn’t been ruled out vs. the #Broncos, but he’s considered a long-shot for Sunday heading into the week. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: With Engram likely out, expect Kyle Rudolph to get the start against the Broncos but will be more in the TE2 range. Engram was injured in the Giants final preseason game on 8/29.
