Chargers sign TE David Njoku to a one-year deal Veteran coming off his worst season since 2020 By: Mike Krueger | May 11 2026, 6:04 am
Sources: The #Chargers have agreed to terms with former #Browns TE David Njoku, giving him a 1-year deal worth up to $8M.
After nine years with Cleveland, Njoku moves on to catch passes from Justin Herbert in a deal done by @malkikawa of @FirstRoundMgmt. (Ian Rapoport on X)
FFToday's Take:Njoku has been banged up the last couple seasons missing 11 games in that span. He began losing snap share to Harold Fannin Jr. mid-season in 2025 on his way to his worst statistical season (33-293-4) since 2000. With the Chargers, he will compete with Oronde Gadsden for tight end targets which puts a damper on both their fantasy outlooks.
