DK Metcalf suspended for two games
Physically confronted a fan in Week 16
By: Doug Orth | Dec 22 2025, 7:00 pm

The NFL is suspending Steelers WR DK Metcalf two games without pay for physically confronting a Lions fan during Sunday’s win at Detroit, per sources. Metcalf, who had reported the same fan to security last season, plans to appeal. (NFL Network - Tom Pelissero)

FFToday's Take: While Metcalf is expected to appeal and may get the suspension reduced to one game, it still means he will not be available for most fantasy managers during their championship game. This is not the first time Metcalf has allowed himself to be baited into a situation that hurt his team, but it also appears as though the fan probably should not have been allowed to be in the stadium - based on the fact Metcalf reported him last year. This will not be the last time we hear about this situation. For fantasy purposes, Metcalf's absence will likely mean Pittsburgh will rely even more heavily on Kenneth Gainwell in the passing game. Adam Thielen could also be worth using in deeper leagues.
