Brenton Strange put on IR
Set to miss at least four games with lower body injury
By: Doug Orth | Oct 7 2025, 6:50 pm

Jaguars TE Brenton Strange placed on injured reserve. He was having an excellent season as complete 3-down TE. I talked to Strange in locker room postgame and he wasn’t optimistic about his hip/quad injury. He said win helps and he’ll eventually be OK but was bummed. (NFL Network - Cameron Wolfe)

FFToday's Take: Strange sits as the overall TE20 after five weeks, although his early departure in Week 5 is part of the reason he isn't higher. The other part is that he is one of only three tight ends (Dalton Schultz and Mason Taylor being the others) who have at least 20 catches and no touchdowns. Hunter Long figures to pick up most of the reps Strange leaves behind and should move onto the low-end TE2 radar while he is recovering.
