Antonio Brown unlikely to play in Week 8
Ankle injury; WR expects to avoid IR

Bucs have no plans to place Antonio Brown on injured reserve. Dealing with ankle injury but not significant enough to require time on IR. Any reports to the contrary are incorrect. (The Athletic - Greg Auman)

FFToday's Take: HC Bruce Arians created a bit of a panic when he mentioned during Wednesday's presser that Brown could be dealing more of a long-term injury. Auman tweeted that bit of news out before following up with the news that the team has no plans to put Brown on IR. Brown hasn't played or practiced since Week 6. With the Bucs in great shape to win the division and the bye coming up in Week 9, it makes sense for the team to see where Brown is at in about two weeks. Tyler Johnson is his direct replacement and worth considering in deep leagues.
