Kadarius Toney could be in the slot for Week 4
Giants rookie set for expanded role with team's WR injury woes
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Sep 28 2021, 9:20 am

The Giants saw two of their top wide receivers, Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard, suffer hamstring injuries in Week 3, opening the door for more snaps from disgruntled rookie WR Kadarius Toney. Shepard primarily plays in the slot, so if he can’t play this Sunday in New Orleans, Toney might wind up stepping in. (NJ.com)

FFToday's Take: The Giants drafted Toney 20th overall this year, and he’s had a limited role so far -- so it won’t be an easy spot for him to break out. He played five and 19 snaps in the first two games, and then got 46 last week (66% of the action), as Shepard and Slayton both got hurt in the first half. Still, Toney had just three targets and hauled in 2-16-0s. For the season, he has five targets and 4-14-0 receiving, but might be worth a look as a deep league add or DFS punt play.
