Texans still preparing for season without Deshaun Watson
Tyrod Tylor probably the starting QB with Davis Mills struggling
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Aug 31 2021, 4:30 am

Aaron Wilson (@AaronWilson_NFL) via Twitter: "Texans are prepared to have Deshaun Watson on the 53-man roster and inactive every week, according to multiple league sources. Watson, who has issued a standing trade request with no deal imminent, would be paid his $10.54 million salary." (Twitter)

FFToday's Take: It looks like the Texans may be in tank mode especially early this season, as they are ready to play this season without their embattled star QB. Rookie Davis Mills has been bad so far, and it appears as though Tyrod Taylor is the guy they'll go with if Mills doesn't step it up and Watson is deemed a "healthy scratch" every week (and isn't cleared to play -- which he probably won't be anytime soon).
