| NYJ backfield expected to be full-blown RBBC Beat writer makes comp to 2019 San Francisco backfield By: Doug Orth | Aug 26 2021, 11:10 pm

| Michael Carter had a nice training camp; he’s among the more elusive backs I’ve seen in my time on the beat; but this is going to be a three-man rotation. Tevin Coleman, Ty Johnson and Carter will all see their share of snaps in the regular season, with La’Mical Perine working in as the goal-line, short-yardage back. (The Athletic - Connor Hughes)
FFToday's Take: Hughes goes on to say "the best way to describe how the Jets plan to use their running backs is to look to the 2019 49ers. In that season, Coleman ran for 544 yards and six touchdowns, Raheem Mostert rushed for 772 yards and eight TDs and Matt Breida tallied 623 yards and one score. Carter should still be expected to be the most valuable member of this group for fantasy purposes, but it appears he will have an uphill battle to be worthy of regular flex consideration.
