Teddy Bridgewater will start Week 1 for Broncos
Drew Lock is the backup

Quarterback Competition 2021 is over and the winner is Teddy Bridgewater. Broncos coach Vic Fangio told the team Wednesday morning Bridgewater had edged out Drew Lock to be the team’s starter in the Sept. 12 season opener at the New York Giants. The Broncos’ Twitter account made the announcement official. (Denver Post)

FFToday's Take: Lock was going to have to significantly outperform Bridgewater in camp to win the starting this job. This announcement may bring more consistency to the offense but less downfield excitement. It's not out of the question to think Lock will make some starts at some point this season.
