Sterling Shepard expected to miss some time
Likely dealing with turf toe
By: Doug Orth | Sep 21 2020, 6:40 pm

Giants WR Sterling Shepard, knocked out yesterday with a toe injury, is believed to be dealing with turf toe, source said. He’ll have an MRI today, but that’s an ailment that generally causes a WR to miss some time. (NFL Network - Ian Rapoport)

FFToday's Take: Dealing with injury has unfortunately been the tale of Shepard's pro career to this point. The fifth-year pro wasn't making a huge dent in fantasy so far, but some of that could have been due to the quality of defenses the Giants have faced so far. Darius Slayton and Golden Tate are good bets to flirt with WR3 production in his absence, although starting either player will come with limited upside against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3.
