Drew Brees expects to remain a Saint
"Not a matter if (a new contract) gets done, but when"
By: Doug Orth | Jan 23 2020, 11:15 pm

"That day comes for all of us" Saints QB Drew Brees on Eli Manning's retirement and his thoughts on his own future and getting over a third postseason heartbreak. (NFL Network - Jane Slater)

FFToday's Take: An impending free agent, Brees sounded confident in the interview that he'll play in 2020 and left little doubt that he expects to do so in New Orleans. The 41-year-old missed five games this season due to a thumb injury, although a strong finish allowed him to put up 27 touchdown passes. At an age where a falloff could be coming around the corner at any time, Brees should be considered a high-upside QB2 for fantasy purposes next season.
