Luck unlikely to play in pre-season
Calf, ankle injury remains an issue for Colts QB
By: Mike Krueger | Aug 13 2019, 7:00 pm

Chris Ballard on conference call with local media says Andrew Luck’s issue is in the high ankle area. Most of his pain is just below the calf. #Colts have been treating the calf strain, but pain lingered. They think they have the source of the pain now and are moving forward. Ballard said it’s probable Luck won’t play during the preseason, but he is not ready to rule him out for the Sept. 8 opener yet. Trusts the QB and knows he’ll do everything possible to get back ASAP. FFToday's Take: Luck had an MRI done in March on his calf but apparently the Colts have now figured out the source of the issue is Luck's ankle. The fact that this has gone on for so long is baffling and it's hard to trust much of anything coming from this team regarding injury info. Until we get a firm diagnosis and recovery time, Luck's fantasy value will be in limbo.
