Andy Reid endorses Damien Williams RB has "earned the right to be that guy" By: Doug Orth | Jul 11 2019, 11:30 pm
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams has "taken the challenge" and "earned the right to be (the full-time starter) for the year," according to head coach Andy Reid. (chiefs.com)
FFToday's Take:Reid did qualify his statement by saying "you take it one game at a time" and "it's a matter of production" in regards to whether he stays in that role. Based on his late-season play, there's little question he is capable. The question is ability to handle the workload; he hasn't handled more than 210 touches in a season since his junior college days. Reid's track record for getting fantasy production from running backs speaks for itself, so owners should be thrilled if they can get him in the second round.
