Injury Schaub recovering from foot surgery     -- Fri Mar 2 6:30 pm --

Texans QB likely to be ready for training camp
Schaub’s rebuilt right foot — damaged in the Tampa Bay game Nov. 13 when his old pal Albert Haynesworth stepped on him — is healing splendidly after Lisfranc surgery. As a result, Schaub is in excellent spirits, but patience remains a virtue. Asked if his life would already be back to “normal” if he were, say, a stockbroker instead of an NFL quarterback, Schaub laughed. “Is that a stockbroker who tries to work out hard and consistently,” he said, “or a stockbroker who sits behind a desk all day? For just moving around, walking, I’m fine. No pain.” (Houston Chronicle)

FF Today's Take: With Matt Schaub expected to be fully healed in time training camp, there is no reason to think he won't go back to posting 250 passing yard games with regularity and recording the same two to one ratio of touchdown passes to interceptions in 2012.
