News From The Past 90 Days
Chris Johnson set for bigger workload
11 carries for 44 yards in season debut in Week 2
By: Doug Orth | Thu Sep 21, 8:00 pm

Arizona Cardinals
HC Bruce Arians: Chris Johnson's carries will likely go up this week. (98.7 FM - Mike Jurecki)

FFToday's Take: The Kerwynn Williams era sure was fun while it lasted, wasn't it? The reality is that Johnson could probably get a quick hook as well if he gets off to a slow start against Dallas in Week 3. Johnson doesn't possess great upside at this point of his career and figures to lose passing-down snaps to Andre Ellington, leaving Johnson as a low-upside RB3 at best.

Chris Johnson moving up depth chart?
Rejoined club last week
By: Doug Orth | Mon Sep 18, 6:55 pm

Arizona Cardinals
HC Bruce Arians: RB Chris Johnson might move up depth chart but something to sort out this week. (Darren Urban on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Cardinals didn't exactly tear it up on the ground with 83 yards on 25 carries versus the Colts, but Johnson did manage to average four yards per attempt. Even if he does pass Kerwynn Williams on the depth chart sometime in the near future, Andre Ellington appears to be the back of choice in the passing game, further limiting his upside. He's worth holding/adding in deeper leagues, but there isn't a ton of upside here.

RB Kerwynn Williams to start for Cardinals
A headache for fantasy owners
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 13, 4:20 pm

Arizona Cardinals
BA: Kerwynn Williams will start followed by Andre Ellington. (Mike Jurecki on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Head coach Bruce Arians announced that Williams would get the start with Ellington and Chris Johnson filling a backup role. This situation will likely turn into a committee and fantasy owners shouldn't trust Williams as anything more than a Flex consideration.

Cardinals re-sign RB Chris Johnson
Arizona's three-headed RBBC
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Sep 12, 1:05 pm

Arizona Cardinals
As predicted yesterday, RB Chris Johnson has agreed to terms with the Cardinals with David Johnson out indefinitely. (Jason La Canfora on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Cardinals are attempting to fill the loss of David Johnson with Chris Johnson, Kerwynn Williams and Andre Ellington. This backfield doesn't have a clear pecking order at this point leaving a foggy situation for fantasy owners. Given Johnson was released, he appears to be the low man on the totem pole.

Cardinals release RB Chris Johnson
Kerwynn Williams is the No.2 running back
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Sep 1, 1:32 pm

Arizona Cardinals
Cardinals released veteran RB Chris Johnson, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Johnson lacked explosiveness in camp and was plagued by fumbling issues during pre-season games. Kerwynn Williams, Andre Ellington and Elijaah Penny are next up on the depth chart behind do-everything David Johnson.
