Kevin Kolb era begins in Buffalo -- Sat Mar 30 10:00 pm --
Two-year deal worth maximum of $13 million | The Buffalo Bills have agreed to a two-year deal worth a maximum of $13 million with quarterback Kevin Kolb, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Saturday night. The move gives the Bills another starting-caliber QB after they released Ryan Fitzpatrick earlier this month. (ESPN)
FF Today's Take: With Tarvaris Jackson on the roster, Kolb would be the expected starter in 2013 assuming the Bills don't take a quarterback with the eighth pick in the draft. Kolb has battled injuries the last two years and never got a firm footing in Arizona. He'll be a QB2 with minimal upside in Buffalo.

QB was due $2 million roster bonus Saturday | Unable to reach an agreement on a restructured contract, the Arizona Cardinals have released quarterback Kevin Kolb. Kolb's future in Arizona became even cloudier Wednesday when the team agreed to a three-year contract with quarterback Drew Stanton. (ESPN)
FF Today's Take: The Cardinals have struggled mightily at the QB position and Kolb was no exception. Playing in 15 games over two years in Arizona, Kolb completed 58% of his passes with 17 TDs and 11 INTs. This move paves the way for Arizona to select a QB in the upcoming draft. Brian Hoyer and Drew Stanton are currently on the roster.

Arizona rumored to be interested in QB | Adam Schefter: "Look for Matt Cassel to be one of the quarterbacks on the Cardinals' radar. Cassel also will receive interest from other teams." (Twitter)
FF Today's Take: Between Kevin Kolb, John Skelton, Ryan Lindley and Brian Hoyer, the Cardinals' quarterbacks left a lot to be desired in 2012. Cassel is not elite, and some might argue that he's not even an average NFL quarterback but a change of scenery and a new offense could re-energize him.
