2016 Outlook
Depth Chart
Delanie Walker proved once again that tight ends paired with rookie quarterbacks are a solid bet to make for fantasy owners. Of course other factors weighed in to create the perfect recipe for a 20-percent increase in targets as well. For instance, the lack of any semblance of a ground game or reliable target among the wide receivers meant that when the offense needed a first down it looked for Walker. And look for him they did as he posted career highs in receptions (94) and yardage (1088) in 2015. If things go according to plan, that wonít be the case this year. As the offense has gotten deeper and stronger, the need for Walker to be the one stop cure for every situation has been spread out-especially inside the twenty-yard line. The team now has two capable running backs to turn to when in the red zone. Additionally, the Titans would be unwise to keep DHB on the sidelines in those packages as well. All indications are pointing to more blocking and less receiving in the Titansí ball control scheme. Be careful not to set your expectations for Walker too high in 2016 but donít sell him short. As Marcus Mariotaís favorite safety valve, he remains one of the most targeted TEs in the NFL.

News From The Past 90 Days
Titans sign Andre Johnson
Two-year contract
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Jul 29, 2:00 pm

Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with veteran wide receiver Andre Johnson on Friday. The Titans have not disclosed terms of the deal, but sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Johnson will sign a two-year contract. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: The Titans have a volatile receiving corps (Kendall Wright, Justin Hunter, Dorial Green-Beckham, Rishard Matthews) with the most dependable being TE Delanie Walker. It's difficult to see Johnson making a significant impact given how slow he looked last year with Colts in limited duty.

Sharpe, Matthews lead Titans WR battle
Green-Beckham considered "wild-card" of the group
By: Doug Orth | Thu Jul 14, 10:00 pm

Tennessee Titans
Rookie Tajae Sharpe has been the talk of camp. The other starting receiver thus far has been free agent import Rishard Matthews, who is cut from the same cloth as Sharpe, in that route-running and good hands are his trademarks as well. The Titans have told Kendall Wright that he must be more precise in his routes, and his role now looks to be as a slot receiver. The wild-card in the receiver corps is second-year pro Dorial Green-Beckham. HC Mike Mularkey has emphasized that DGB must become more of a student of the game and get himself in top shape. (Titans Insider)

FFToday's Take: DGB owners shouldn't give up hope quite yet as the coaches would lose credibility if they name him the starter before he "proves it" in camp, but this is another reminder he is still very much an unfinished product and a risky fantasy bet. Matthews has as good of a chance as anybody to lead this group in receptions, although TE Delanie Walker should be considered the top passing-game target. Consider Matthews a WR4 and just about any other Titans' wideout a WR5 or beyond.
