|An aging veteran in the twilight of his career, Jennings put up decent numbers in in Minnesota with a rookie quarterback in Teddy Bridgewater in 2014. A move from Bridgewater to Tannehill is a definite upgrade for Jennings, however Miami has more passing options that will likely result in a drop from his 91 targets last season. Jennings is the number-three wide receiver for the Dolphins and likely the fourth target for Tannehill when you add in tight end Jordan Cameron. He is a low-end WR4 fantasy wide receiver in deeper leagues.
|DeVante Parker getting closer to starting lineup?|
OC: "I don't see anything he can't do"
By: Doug Orth | Thu Oct 15, 5:30 pm
|With the struggles of starter Greg Jennings — who has just seven receptions for 54 yards, no touchdowns on three drops in four games — it seems like there’d be an opportunity for DeVante Parker to start now. When asked if Parker is ready to compete for the starting job, OC Lazor was non-committal.
“He is further along than probably at any time that we’ve talked about him,” Lazor said. “You’re talking about a young player who’s missed an unbelievable amount of time but who is very, very talented. ... I don’t see anything he can’t do. There’s certain things he has to get better at. I couldn’t say there’s a thing he can’t do or he isn’t going to be able to do.” (Palm Beach Post)|
FFToday's Take: It's understandable why Miami has been hesitant to push Parker since he is a rookie who missed a lot of offseason and training camp work and had to regain confidence in his foot. However, at 1-3 and with a new coach in charge, the Dolphins could use the game-breaking talent that Parker has to reinvigorate the offense. Look for Parker to start seeing regular snaps in the next week or two and become an every-week WR3 (or better) over the second half of the season.
| DeVante Parker highly impressive in practice|
Rookie WR overcoming time lost from offeason foot surgery

|The Miami Dolphins came into this week of practice believing rookie WR DeVante Parker would be available for the regular-season opener against the Washington Redskins. And then this week's practices happened. Players said Parker looked good on Monday. And better on Wednesday. And then better again on Thursday. And so how good has Parker been?
One player said Parker still isn't in the same league with Greg Jennings on route running or showing the kind of chemistry with QB Ryan Tannehill that Jarvis Landry has. But that he's a good combination of the two and is getting back some of the explosion he had at rookie minicamp. (Miami Herald)|
FFToday's Take: The buy-low window for Parker appears to be closing fast. His path to a starting job appears to be fairly clear as well since Kenny Stills was limited in the preseason with a calf injury and Jennings is on the downside of career. Expect Jennings to be the starter opposite Jarvis Landry for a few weeks, but Parker's game-breaking ability should allow him to move past the ex-Packer and Viking before long. Parker has WR2 upside and could eventually move past Landry as Tannehill's top target.
