FFToday's Take: Reed has played in only six games this season and hasn't played since Week 8 due to a hamstring injury. Vernon Davis has been a disappointment the last two weeks but will once again get the start with Niles Paul filling the No.2 tight end role.

FFToday's Take: Reed hasn't played since Week 8 and will once again sit due to a hamstring injury. Vernon Davis will get the start on Thursday against the Cowboys and is in a good sport for a bounce back game after a goose-egg in Week 12.

Vernon Davis gets plus matchup
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Nov 22, 2:00 pm
|Redskins’ tight end Jordan Reed (hamstring), defensive lineman Terrell McClain (toe), safety Montae Nicholson (concussion) and offensive lineman Chase Roullier (hand surgery) have officially been ruled out for Washington’s Thanksgiving night game against the New York Giants.
It’ll be the fifth missed game this season for Reed, who caught one pass for five yards against the Dallas Cowboys on Oct. 29 before suffering a second-quarter injury. (Washington Post)|
FFToday's Take: Perhaps Reed can see the field in Week 13. Until then, it's the Vernon Davis show at tight end. He'll be on the TE1 radar against a Giants defense giving up the most fantasy points to the position.
| Jordan Reed, Pryor ruled out|
Pryor dealing with ankle injury

|Redskins tight end Jordan Reed has been ruled out for Sunday's game at New Orleans. Center Spencer Long and receiver Terrelle Pryor also have been ruled out. Pryor will see a specialist Monday for an ankle injury. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: Reed can't get over the hump with his hamstring injury and Pryor has been a fantasy afterthought for weeks. In their absence, Vernon Davis and slot receiver Jamison Crowder should see plenty of targets against the Saints with DB Marshon Lattimore locked up on Josh Doctson.
| Jordan Reed working off to the side Thursday|
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Nov 16, 1:10 pm
|Tight end Jordan Reed and left tackle Trent Williams both are working off to the side, going through agility drills and some resistance training. Terrelle Pryor is not at practice yet today. It's uncertain the reason for his absence. Jamison Crowder, who was absent Wednesday, has returned. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: It sounds like Reed will classified as "limited" with his hamstring injury. Until he gets in a full practice, fantasy owners should not consider him for lineups in Week 11. Vernon Davis and Jamison Crowder should be popular targets for Kirk Cousins against the Vikings.
| Jordan Reed expected to sit|

|#Redskins TE Jordan Reed, who missed practice on Friday with a hamstring injury, is not expected to play today, source said. But LT Trent Williams, battling through a painful knee injury, is expecting to play, somehow. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: So it goes with Reed. He was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday but missed on Friday. Vernon Davis will once again be on the TE1 radar in a matchup against the Vikings.
| Jordan Reed listed as questionable|
By: Mike Krueger | Sat Sep 30, 1:10 pm
|The Washington Redskins head into Monday night’s matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs with running back Rob Kelley (rib), wide receiver Jamison Crowder (hamstring) tight end Jordan Reed (rib/sternum) as questionable. The Pro Bowl tight end is confident he can play Monday evening as he’s been regaining strength and functionality in his core. As he’s been limited in practices recently, Reed’s worked with the wide receivers during individual drills. (Redskins.com)|
FFToday's Take: It sounds like both Kelley and Reed will give it a go Monday night. It would be wise for Reed owners to grab Vernon Davis off the waiver wire (if possible) in case he's a surprise inactive. Kelley should slide back into the starting role over Samaje Perine.

Vernon Davis becomes viable TE2

|Washington TE Jordan Reed (rib) is considered a game-time call, per source, but is more unlikely to play vs. Raiders. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: The Redskins and Raiders play Sunday night, leaving Reed owners in a bind but grabbing Vernon Davis off the waiver wire would be a prudent move. Reed injured his ribs and suffered a SC joint ligament sprain in his shoulder last week against the Rams.
| Jordan Reed "isn't healthy right now"|
Rib cartilage injury and SC joint ligament strain
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 20, 5:00 pm
|Redskins tight end Jordan Reed sat out of practice Wednesday because of his rib cartilage injury and a SC joint ligament strain. Reed suffered the injuries during the Redskins' 27-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2.
"The plan is we’ve got to get him healthy and the concern is he’s not healthy right now," Redskins coach Jay Gruden said. (Washington Times)|
FFToday's Take: Add rib and shoulder issues on to Reed's already ailing foot. This doesn't sound promising for Jordan Reed's chances of playing against the Raiders but we'll have to see if he's able to practice later in the week. Vernon Davis is next up on the depth chart and would be a serviceable TE2 should Reed sit.
| Greg Olsen to have surgery, out 6-8 weeks|
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Sep 18, 10:00 am
|Panthers TE Greg Olsen will undergo surgery on his broken right foot and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks, per @mortreport. Team will decide after surgery whether Olsen will go on IR with expectation to return later in season, per source. (Chris Mortensen on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Olsen was on the sideline during the second half on crutches. Ed Dickson is the next tight end on the roster but doesn't offer much upside. Olsen owners looking for replacements could target Vernon Davis (WAS), Zach Miller (CHI) and Ben Watson (BAL).
