Vernon Davis expected to start

FFToday's Take: Kirk Cousins will be without his best weapon on Saturday against the Bears. Reed has played the last couple weeks but has been limited an ineffective. with Reed out, Vernon Davis will get the start and is a viable punt TE play.
| No more clarity regarding Jordan Reed's status|
No practice Thursday

|HC Jay Gruden didn’t commit one way or the other when asked about Jordan Reed.
“He didn’t do much today, obviously. Did not participate today,” Gruden said. “So, I really don’t have anything to compare it to. Obviously, (the shoulder) still bothering him a little bit, and we’ll have to gauge it tomorrow before we leave.” (The Washington Post)|
FFToday's Take: Owners should plan on being without Reed again, as he clearly wasn't right in Week 15 before getting ejected on Monday night and will only have four full days of rest before facing the Chicago Bears on Saturday. Vernon Davis is probably the best replacement option owners have in most leagues, but it should be noted Chicago has been among the stingiest defenses against tight ends this season.
| Jordan Reed eyeing Week 14 return|
Injured shoulder feeling better
By: Doug Orth | Thu Dec 8, 8:25 pm
|Jordan Reed believes he'll play Sunday. Feels he's gotten all of his range of motion back. (Mike Garafolo on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Don't go dropping Vernon Davis or any of your other tight end options quite yet. A Grade 3 AC joint separation is a "complete separation of the joint" and "both sets of ligaments in the shoulder are torn as well as the capsule that surrounds the joint", so it is highly unlikely Reed has his range of motion back. Consider him a high-risk option with a poor matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 14.
| Jordan Reed ruled out|
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Dec 2, 1:15 pm
|Redskins tight end Jordan Reed has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. Arizona because of a shoulder injury. Defensive end Anthony Lanier also is out coach Jay Gruden said. (http://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/n)|
FFToday's Take: Reed is dealing with a serious shoulder injury that could keep him out multiple weeks so it's no surprise he'll miss Week 13. Vernon Davis will get the start and be a viable TE option however, the Cardinals have given up the fewest fantasy points to the tight end position making Davis more of a TE2.
| Jordan Reed sidelined Wednesday|
Separated AC joint in shoulder
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Nov 30, 1:15 pm
|Tight end Jordan Reed remained sidelined as the Washington Redskins returned to practice Wednesday following Tuesday’s day off.
Reed, who separated the AC joint in his left shoulder in the Thanksgiving Day loss to Dallas, wore his jersey, but only watched as his teammates went through individual and unit drills. Reed hasn’t yet been ruled out for Sunday’s game in Arizona. (Washington Post)|
FFToday's Take: It's going to be a tough for Reed to play but he has yet to be ruled out. It's unlikely he'll get in any full practices this week. Reed owners should be looking for other options (Vernon Davis?) in Week 13.
| Jordan Reed could miss time, sprained shoulder|
Grade 3 AC joint separation
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 25, 4:45 pm
|Redskins tight end Jordan Reed, the team’s leading receiver, suffered a Grade 3 AC joint separation in his left shoulder. Reed’s left arm is in a sling, and the team is taking his situation “day by day,” Gruden said. (Washington Post)|
FFToday's Take: Reed does have a few extra days to heal but it won't be a surprise if he sits out Week 13. Reed owners should be eyeing Vernon Davis on the waiver wire.
