|Jason Witten ends retirement, back with Cowboys|
“The fire to compete and play this game is just burning too strong”

|Although he retired from the NFL last May, the future Hall of Famer is coming back to the Cowboys for what will be his 16th pro season. Jason Witten will return to the field and officially sign a contract with the Cowboys, who retained his rights when he was placed on the NFL’s Reserve/Retired list. “The fire inside of me to compete and play this game is just burning too strong,” Witten said in a statement. FFToday's Take: Witten's time in the Monday Night booth comes to and end. The Cowboys struggled to get production from the tight end position with Blake Jarwin and Dalton Schultz. While Witten certainly has a name factor his last season in the league landed him as the TE9 with a 63-560-5 line. Given the state of the position, he'll be on the TE2 radar in fantasy.
|Beasley, Jarwin expected to be active|
Jarwin the healthier of the two

|Despite being listed as questionable, Dallas Cowboys receiver Cole Beasley and tight end Blake Jarwin will be active for Saturday night's NFC divisional game against the Los Angeles Rams, a source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Beasley and Jarwin didn't practice this week because of ankle injuries. The players will workout pregame, with Jarwin having a better chance of playing, according to the source. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: Both Beasley and Jarwin missed practice all week so it remains to see how effective they will be against the Rams. Neither are viable fantasy plays given their low target volume and injury status.

Both missed practice Thursday

FFToday's Take: Both Beasley and Jarwin have missed practice this week making their status for Saturday iffy at best. Beasley aggravated his ankle injury last week and if he misses, Tavon Austin could see more reps in the slot. The Cowboys would likely used TE by committee if Jarwin sits, with Dalton Schultz and Rico Gathers filling the void.
