|George Iloka, JuJu Smith-Schuster suspended|
Each player suspended one game for hits in brutal MNF contest
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Dec 5, 2:35 pm
|The league suspended Pittsburgh receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and Cincinnati safety George Iloka each for one game without pay for violations of safety-related playing rules.
Both players are appealing the ban, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported. NFL vice president of football operations Jon Runyan handed down the punishments. (NFL.com)|
FFToday's Take: Smith-Schuster has been a great second receiver for the Steelers this season, but it appears as though Martavis Bryant could get more targets if the appeal hearing upholds his suspension for Week 14.
| Antonio Brown, Smith-Schuster active for MNF|
Toe and hamstring injuries, respectively
By: Doug Orth | Mon Dec 4, 7:00 pm
|Steelers Antonio Brown (toe) will suit up for tonight's game. NOT among the inactives but all the wide receivers are active, which is unusual. (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)|
FFToday's Take: There is really no telling how this is going to go. The fact all of the receivers are dressing could be an indication Brown will be on a snap count, merely a precaution or a hint that he will be a decoy only. JuJu Smith-Schuster is also less than 100 percent. At this point, most owners probably have no great alternatives to replace either one, so they might as well keep both in the lineups and hope for the best.
| Antonio Brown misses practice Saturday|
Availability for Monday night in question
By: Mike Krueger | Sat Dec 2, 12:30 pm
|Antonio Brown injury not considered major but toe issues can be tricky - didn’t practice for second straight day, teammate confirmed. Steelers hopeful Brown plays but are preparing in case he doesn’t - Martavis Bryant would stay in his role while JuJu/DHB/Justin Hunter could split AB’s role (Jeremy Fowler on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Brown missed practice on Friday and then again Saturday raising questions for his availability on Monday night against the Bengals. If he sits, it sounds like the Steelers will rotate Darrius Heyward-Bey and Justin Hunter into the mix. JuJu Smith-Schuster is expected to play after missing the last two weeks with a hamstring injury.
| JuJu Smith-Schuster practices fully Thursday|
Hamstring injury, likely to return Week 13
By: Doug Orth | Thu Nov 30, 8:15 pm
|Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) practiced in full Thursday, Nov. 30. (Steelers.com)|
FFToday's Take: If he plays, Smith-Schuster will be returning to a difficult matchup, as the Bengals have surrendered only 75 yards to a receiver once this season and held the duo of Antonio Brown and Smith-Schuster to a total of 104 yards in their first meeting back in Week 7. The rookie probably needs to start in most fantasy leagues, but the Steelers will almost certainly rely heavily on Le'Veon Bell this week.
| JuJu Smith-Schuster out for Week 12|
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 24, 2:30 pm
|JuJu Smith-Schuster will not play vs Packers cause of hamstring injury (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)|
FFToday's Take: The Steelers play Sunday night against the Packers and with Schuster out, Martavis Bryant should see his snap count rise. Bryant has seen 9 total targets in the last two weeks. The Packers have given up the 9th most fantasy points to wide receivers.
|Martavis Bryant back working with first team|
Steelers giving embattled WR prime reps in practice this week.
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Nov 7, 11:10 am
|Martavis Bryant was back working with the first-team offense Monday when the Steelers resumed practice after a four-day break on their bye.
After being benched against the Detroit Lions on Oct. 29 because of his controversial social media posts, Bryant is looking for a chance to rejoin his teammates on the field. He has been given no indication the benching will extend past that one game. (Pittsburgh Tribune-Review)|
FFToday's Take: You can go ahead and give Bryant a look as a WR3/4 or flex in super-deep formats and large-field GPPs in DFS in a great match-up with Indy, but don't be surprised if JuJu Smith-Schuster out-snaps him and outperforms him the rest of the way in 2017. In standard leagues, JSS is the better play.
|Steelers bench Martavis Bryant for Week 8|
Bryant seeking trade
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Oct 25, 3:00 pm
|The Pittsburgh Steelers have benched Martavis Bryant for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions over his use of social media, the receiver said. Bryant is no longer hiding from his frustration with the Steelers offense, telling reporters after that session that he's frustrated but will continue to play hard.
"I'm not going to hide how I feel," Bryant said. "What happened has happened." (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: Bryant won't be getting his in Week 8, instead he'll watch from the sidelines as JuJu Smith-Schuster continues to receive more playing time. Bryant has been vocal in social media about his desire to be traded.

Disgruntled Steelers WR wants out of Pitsburgh
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Oct 24, 11:11 am
|ESPN's Josina Anderson (@JosinaAnderson) on Twitter: "#Steelers WR Martavis Bryant to me: "If they don’t try to include me more and continue to do the same thing, then I want out period."
"I just want to be happy..I would like for it to be here, but if not then oh well. Just got to move on."
"I’m not being selfish, it’s just I want to help contribute & I want to be the best player that I can be." (Twitter/ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: Braynt's comments aren't surprising, considering he trashed fellow Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster on Instagram before attempting to walk those comments back later in the day. At this point, Bryant looks headed for another team or a spate on "inactive" statuses as the Steelers try to determine the best course of action.
