2018 Outlook
Depth Chart
The fact that John Ross and I had the same amount of receptions last year tells you all you need to know. Showing a supreme lack of preparation and eventually health, Ross got a redshirt year after being the 9th overall pick in the 2017 draft. There was a reason he was a top-10 pick, and the Bengals desperately need a lid-lifting threat to open the field for the rest of the playmakers. Looking back on his college tape, and his numbers, he has this ability, but can and will he be able to put it together? The Bengals coaches seem to think so, and with a fully healthy offseason, he should be a big part of this offense. The big issue with his fantasy value comes from volume. He projects more as a deep threat, and will have to battle for scraps behind AJ Green. The good news is the team recently jettisoned LaFell making way for increased opportunities for Ross. I do think Cinci will look to get him the ball in creative ways, and like his overall upside, but not enough to where I'd feel comfortable drafting him. Keep tabs on how he looks in the preseason, and it's possible he could move into flier territory before Week 1.

News From The Past 90 Days
Injury Sprained MCL for Tyler Boyd
Possible Boyd will miss the next two games
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Dec 17, 12:15 pm

Cincinnati Bengals
#Bengals WR Tyler Boyd suffered a low-grade MCL sprain, source said. Boyd, who had his MRI yesterday, eclipsed 1,000 yards in the win and is a promising player. He could miss time, and with only two weeks left in the season, that could be it for 2018. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Bengals have yet to make any official announcement but it seems likely that Body will miss the last two games. John Ross, Cody Core, and Alex Erickson are next up on the depth chart making this passing game one to avoid for fantasy owners.

Injury A.J. Green done for the year
Needs toe surgery, will be sidelined 3-4 months
By: Doug Orth | Mon Dec 3, 8:00 pm

Cincinnati Bengals
Bengals' WR A.J. Green is expected to undergo season-ending surgery on the torn ligaments in his toe that will sideline him 3-4 months, but he is expected to have a full recovery and be ready for OTAs, per source. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)

FFToday's Take: Green returned from a toe injury in Week 13 and lasted just over a quarter. The good news is he should be 100 percent for offseason workouts, but the bad news is that 2018 will mark the second time in three seasons he has played 10 or fewer games. Entering his age-31 season in 2019, it might be time for owners to start preparing for the end of his fantasy WR1 days. Tyler Boyd and John Ross will finish the season as starters in 2018.

Injury John Ross back at practice, Gio Bernard limited
Ross expected to play
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Nov 7, 5:00 pm

Cincinnati Bengals
WR John Ross, RB Giovani Bernard both practiced for the second straight time this week. Ross looks destined to play, Bernard not as concrete, but being out there is a very good sign. (Paul Dehner Jr. on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Bengals will be without their top wideout A.J. Green this week meaning other receivers will need to fill the void. Ross will likely get the start along side Tyler Boyd. Bernard has missed the last five weeks with a knee injury. He'll play a complementary role if he's able to return in Week 10.
