2018 Outlook
Depth Chart
In a draft class which featured the likes of Corey Davis, Mike Williams, John Ross, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Zay Jones, it seemed unlikely that a slot receiver going to a team that had previously finished the season as one of the league's worst offenses could possibly lead all rookie wide receivers in catches. But that's what happened in 2017 when Cooper Kupp caught 62 passes for 869 yards and five touchdowns, while sitting out in Week 17 as the Rams had nothing to play for.

As the Rams primary slot receiver, Kupp played more than 50 percent of his snaps from the slot. This is good for consistency purposes because we don't have to worry about him transitioning into a new role now that the Rams added Brandin Cooks, who primarily plays outside.

Cooks will likely see a larger target share than Sammy Watkins did, but that shouldn't cut too much into what Kupp does. The ceiling isn't particularly high for Kupp given the average depth of target that he sees as a pass catcher and the fact that he isn't a big time end zone threat, but Kupp does have a decently high floor, particularly in PPR formats which makes better use of his volume-over-big-play style.

Injury Cooper Kupp expected to sit out Week 7
Knee injury; could be week-to-week situation
By: Doug Orth | Mon Oct 15, 11:30 pm

Los Angeles Rams receiver Cooper Kupp suffered a knee sprain Sunday and could be sidelined for this week's game against the San Francisco 49ers, coach Sean McVay said. "Most likely he probably will miss this game," McVay said Monday. "And then dependent on how he responds it will just kind of be on a week-to-week basis." (ESPN - Lindsey Thiry)

FFToday's Take: The Rams likely got Kupp's fantasy owners excited when he was able to start the second half before the training staff thought it was in his best interests to sit out. Owners should expect him to miss multiple weeks at this point and be happy if he can return sooner. Josh Reynolds will most likely get the biggest bump in playing time and can probably be started as a WR3 in larger leagues.

Injury Cooks, Kupp progressing well
WR duo suffered concussions in Week 5
By: Doug Orth | Thu Oct 11, 7:55 pm

HC Sean McVay says WRs Brandin Cooks and Cooper Kupp (concussion) will participate in individual drills today. If they get through everything symptom-free, they’ll practice in full tomorrow. And if they get through tomorrow fine, they’ll be good to go for Sunday. (Myles Simmons on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Owners should have a pretty good idea about the status of Cooks and Kupp by Friday evening. Right now, it appears Jared Goff will have his full complement of receivers available to him. Given how often the Rams use three wideouts, Kupp should see a lot of Chris Harris Jr., making Robert Woods and Cooks the better plays this week.
