Cleveland sticking with Kizer
Browns name rookie QB starter ahead of London trip
By: Jake Gordon | Wed Oct 25, 9:15 am

Cleveland Browns
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- DeShone Kizer will have a chance to treat Browns fans in London like royalty and give them a victory that fans here haven't enjoyed. Hue Jackson named his rookie as the starter for Sunday's game at Twickenham Stadium against the Vikings, who are in the top five in four defensive categories. Kizer, who's last in the NFL with a 47.8 rating, will make his seventh start of the season over Cody Kessler, who took the Titans to overtime on Sunday, but lost 12-9 on a field goal with 1:55 remaining. (Cleveland.com)

FFToday's Take: Cleveland's passing game has been trending downward since the they lost Corey Coleman in Week 2. Playing overseas against a tough Vikings defense, fantasy owners should simply avoid the Browns' receivers and tight ends this week.

Browns going back to DeShone Kizer at QB
Rookie takes over after just one game on bench

Cleveland Browns
Mary Kay Cabot (@MaryKayCabot) on Twitter: "I expect DeShone Kizer to be reinstated as the #Browns starting QB today for the #Titans game, and they'll ride w/ him as long as possible" (Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Well, that was fast. It looks like the Browns saw what they needed from Kevin Hogan to assure them that Kizer makes a higher upside play who gives them a better chance to win. While it's not official quite yet, this should help the fantasy value of Duke Johnson, who saw fewer opportunities with Hogan slinging.

Hogan replaces Kizer as Browns starting QB
Cleveland makes switch at QB
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Oct 11, 8:30 am

Cleveland Browns
"I've made the decision to start Kevin Hogan this week," coach Hue Jackson announced in a release. "We've liked what Kevin has been able to do within our offense when he's been in there and he will start on Sunday because that's what we feel is best for our team at this point in time." (Cleveland Plain Dealer)

FFToday's Take: It doesn't sound like this is a permanent move for the remainder of the season so expect DeShone Kizer to make more starts this season for the lowly Browns. Hogan will face the Texans this week after completing 16-of-19 for 194 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT against the Jets. He'll be a low-end QB2 in Week 6.

DeShone Kizer looks like he's getting benched
Coach says demotion will help rookie long-term
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Oct 10, 10:44 am

Cleveland Browns
Kevin Hogan hasn’t been named the 28th starting quarterback of the Browns since 1999, but all signs point to rookie DeShone Kizer staying on the bench. Coach Hue Jackson indicated Monday he’s leaning toward starting Hogan on the road Sunday against the Houston Texans when he explained Kizer would benefit from watching, regrouping and learning from the sideline. (Akron Beacon Journal)

FFToday's Take: “My decision is what is best for the team, what is best for our team to put us in position to win, also, what is best for DeShone,” Jackson said. “It’s not just for the team, but what is best for him just so that he can feel like, ‘OK, I am moving further along in this process, and I’m understanding what I need to do to be better.’ All of that will go into my decision." Sounds like Kizer can be safely dropped in 12-team redrafts, but he's certainly worth holding onto for dynasty leagues, if Hue Jackson the soothsayer is correct.

Corey Coleman enjoying rapport with new QB
Rookie DeShone Kizer and talented WR establishing connection
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Aug 29, 10:28 am

Cleveland Browns
Corey Coleman said he's excited about the possibility of DeShone Kizer taking over as QB. The pair got off to a nice start Saturday against Tampa Bay in Kizer’s first start, hooking up on a 32-yarder down the sideline on third-and-4, an 11-yard slant on third-and-10 from the 1 and a 13-yard out on third-and-9. “It could be a very bright future for both of us if we keep on doing what we need to do,” Coleman said Monday. (Browns Zone)

FFToday's Take: Kizer, the No. 52 pick out of Notre Dame in April, was named the starting quarterback for the season. Coleman, the No. 15 pick out of Baylor in 2016, is expected to fill the role of No. 1 wideout. Both could make for some solid draft day values.

Kizer will start third pre-season game for Browns
Positioning himself to earn starting job heading into regular season
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Aug 23, 9:00 am

Cleveland Browns
On Wednesday morning, Hue Jackson named DeShone Kizer, the No. 52 overall pick out of Notre Dame, the Browns' starting quarterback over veteran Brock Osweiler -- at least for the Tampa Bay game Saturday night. Jackson said in a statement that Kizer starting the dress rehearsal game positions him well to start the season Sept. 10 against the Steelers at FirstEnergy Stadium, where he'll likely become the 27th quarterback to start a game for the Browns since 1999. (Cleveland Plain Dealer)

FFToday's Take: While it's not official, it appears Kizer will be under center Week 1 for the Browns. Brock Osweiler has failed to score on any of his six preseason drives. Kizer doesn't provide much fantasy value, but his rushing ability could be a second option in 2-QB leagues.

Browns HC Hue Jackson yet to name a starting QB
Cleveland signal caller should be decided by Wednesday
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Aug 22, 9:25 am

Cleveland Browns
Hue Jackson said he's going to watch the tape to decide between Brock Osweiler and DeShone Kizer. "There were some things that I felt on the sidelines just being out there watching the game, calling the plays and watching how things happen. Like I told you guys, I hope by Wednesday of this upcoming week we will have a decision of where we are headed, and I think that is what we have to do." (ClevelandBrowns.com)

FFToday's Take: This is a tough situation, and without an established QB, neither portends to be all that successful in 2017. Still, the Browns could be playing from behind a lot and there could be some QB2 fantasy value at some point.
