Jared Cook, Saints deal finally getting done
$8M guaranteed in Year 1
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Mar 26, 11:45 am

New Orleans
The deal between the #Saints and FA TE Jared Cook will be signed today. It’s a 2-year contract worth $15.5M, including $8M fully guaranteed in Year 1. A big weapon for coach Sean Payton’s offense and a really nice payday for the 32-year-old. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: With the Raiders void of talent at the wide receiver position, Jared Cook turned in his best season as pro with 896 yards and 6 TDs in 2018. He now jumps to a better offense that featured Michael Thomas and running back Alvin Kamara in the passing game. Cook's pairing with the ultra-accurate Drew Brees is a blessing and secures his value as a low-end TE1 heading into 2019.

Saints agree with RB Latavius Murray
Four-year deal
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Mar 12, 11:10 am

New Orleans
Former Vikings’ RB Latavius Murray intends to sign a four-year deal with the Saints, per source. A shakeup to RB market. It now means Mark Ingram not expected to return to New Orleans. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Saints get their big back to go along with Alvin Kamara, the only difference being Murray isn't nearly the pass catcher that Ingram has been. Murray should have some Flex appeal in New Orleans but this move doesn't boost his fantasy value as much as you might think. It's more of a win for Alvin Kamara who could see an even greater involvement in the passing, and to Dalvin Cook in Minnesota.
