| Aaron Jones expected to play|
Jamaal Williams expected to get most of the work
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Dec 3, 8:10 am
|Packers’ RB Aaron Jones, questionable for Sunday due to knee injury, is expected to play, per source, but Jamaal Williams still expected to get most of work vs. Bucs. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: With Jones in the mix, Williams' fantasy value takes a slight hit but owners can still feel safe starting him based on Shefter's report. Williams feels like a middling RB2 today against Tampa Bay.
| Ty Montgomery lands on IR|

FFToday's Take: Montgomery has been dealing with a rib issue much of the season but he lands on the injured reserve due to a wrist injury. Aaron Jones (MCL) was limited in practice Friday and is listed questionable for Sunday.
| Aaron Jones moving "pretty well" in practice|
Decision on Week 13 status could come Friday or Saturday
By: Doug Orth | Thu Nov 30, 8:05 pm
|Packers RB coach Ben Sirmans says Aaron Jones (knee) moving pretty well in practice: "I think it's going to come down to a call maybe Friday, or maybe Saturday." (Green Bay Press-Gazette)|
FFToday's Take: For now, it should be treated as a good sign for his Week 14 status and nothing more. HC Mike McCarthy seems happy enough with Jamaal Williams at the moment, but it wasn't long ago Jones had a vise-grip hold on early-down work in Green Bay. Jones is a good stash who could pay off handsomely in the fantasy playoffs, but owners would be wise to see him in action before putting him in lineups.

Ty Montgomery misses
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Nov 30, 11:45 am
|#Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) did very little in drills media got to watch. Kevin King (shoulder) and Ty Montgomery (ribs) did not work. (Tom Silverstein on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Jones' availability for Week 13 is key as without him, Jamaal Williams will see the bulk of the work in the backfield for the Packers. We should get a better handle on Packers running back workload after tomorrow's practice.
| Ty Montgomery misses practice Thursday|
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Nov 23, 11:15 am
|Not practicing for the Packers: Clay Matthews (groin), Kenny Clark (ankle), Aaron Jones (knee), Ty Montgomery (ribs), Lucas Patrick (hand). (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: Mongtomery has been battling a rib injury for weeks. He missed Wednesday's practice as well, making it likely that Jamaal Williams will get the bulk of the carries this week against the Steelers. Williams will be a FLEX consideration in a bad matchup.
| Ty Montgomery misses practice Wednesday|
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Nov 15, 4:10 pm
|Not practicing: RB Aaron Jones (knee), RB Ty Montgomery (ribs), S Morgan Burnett (groin), T Bryan Bulaga (knee). (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: Montgomery re-injured his ribs in Week 10 and it's unlikely he will practice much this week. Head coach Mike McCarthy said he's hoping Montgomery can play this week. Expect Jamaal Williams to the majority of work this week in a neutral matchup against the Ravens-D.
| Aaron Jones expected to miss 3-6 weeks|
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Nov 13, 11:30 am
|Packers RB Aaron Jones expected to be sidelined 3-6 weeks with MCL injury, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Not only did Jones get injured yesterday but Ty Montgomery left the game with a rib injury. Jamaal Williams is now back into fantasy relevance and will get the Ravens and Steelers the next two weeks.
| Ty Montgomery expected to play|
Could split carries with Aaron Jones
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Oct 15, 7:30 am
|Green Bay Packers running back Ty Montgomery, listed as questionable on Friday's injury report, is expected to play and not be limited Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter. Montgomery practiced last week wearing a flak jacket to protect the multiple broken ribs he suffered in the Sept. 28 game against the Chicago Bears. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: With Montgomery active, expect the two backs to split carries although Aaron Jones seems like the safer flex play in Week 6. Montgomery will wear a flak jacket to protect his ribs.
| Ty Montgomery feeling "fine"|
Took some hits in practice while wearing flak jacket Thursday
By: Doug Orth | Thu Oct 12, 6:35 pm
|Ty Montgomery said he took some hits on his ribs in practice and "felt fine." He said it made him "feel comfortable" that he was able to absorb some hits while playing with a protective flak jacket seen here under his jersey at today's practice. (ESPN - Rob Demovsky)|
FFToday's Take: It sounds as if he Montgomery has a decent shot at playing in Week 6, although the team could always sit him out this week and next in order to give his ribs nearly a month to recover. Aaron Jones may have done enough already to share early-down carries (if not assume the role outright), but Montgomery's contributions as a receiver out of the backfield figure to remain a staple of the offense when he returns.
| Ty Montgomery doubtful|
Rib injury will likely keep Packers RB on the sideline
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 6, 4:02 pm
|#Packers RB Ty Montgomery, dealing with broken ribs, listed as doubtful vs. Cowboys, as expected. WR Davante Adams (concussion) questionable. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Dealing with multiple broken ribs, look for Montgomery to be on the inactive list Sunday. In his absence, Jamaal Williams and Aaron Jones will handle running back duties. It's unclear at this time who will get the start but don't expect either back to handle 90 percent of the workload like Montgomery has done this season.
| Packers RBs limited Wednesday|
Ty Montgomery and Jamaal Williams
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Oct 4, 2:15 pm
|Ty Montgomery practiced with significant protection around his ribs. Fellow RB Jamaal Williams (knee) also on the field. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: Montgomery is dealing with multiple broken ribs while Williams suffered a sprained knee in Week 4 against the Bears. It's too early to tell if either back will play Sunday but their limited participation is a good sign. Aaron Jones would see more opportunities if either back is limited or sits.

Packers RB says organ safety is a concern moving forward
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Oct 3, 10:25 am
|Ty Montgomery said during "Clubhouse Live" that he's going to
"do my best to try to be out there" but that he's worried about "risking something more serious" by playing through what he callwed "multiple" broken ribs. "I don't want to puncture any internal organs. We all know how serious that can be."
FFToday's Take: If Montgomery can't go this week, we could be looking at lots of touches for rookie Aaron Jones, since Jamaal Williams (knee) is also expected to miss time.
| Jamaal Williams avoids serious knee injury|
Could miss next game, not more
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Sep 29, 1:30 pm
|Packers RB Jamaal Williams MRI results came back negative - no ligament damage, purely muscular, per source. Could miss next game, not more. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: With Ty Montgomery likely on the shelf for a few weeks with broken ribs, the Packers will need their rookie running backs to fill in. It sounds like Aaron Jones could be the featured running back in Week 5 while Williams recovers from his sprained knee injury.
