|Howard was a highly coveted TE prospect in the NFL draft and he received enough of an opportunity during his rookie season to be a mid-TE2. Howard converted 39 targets into 26 receptions and 6 TDs.
Of his 6 TDs, only three came from targets within the redzone. If Howard can increase his target share or his redzone usage, his scoring potential will significantly improve and he could have TE1 upside. At his current draft position of TE15, there's room to outperform his ADP, but he'll need things to break properly for him to see a significant bump in fantasy value.

FFToday's Take: The tight end position suffers another blow. Howard has been fantasy's No.5 tight end through 11 weeks. In his absence, Cameron Brate should step into the starting role and be a low-end TE1 during the final weeks of the season.

|Buccaneers’ TE O.J. Howard, listed as questionable with a knee injury for Sunday, is expected to play vs. the Falcons, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Howard injured his knee in Week 4 but it appears will give it a go in Week 6. Cameron Brate still remains a viable tight end play but loses some of his upside with Howard in the mix.

|Only Bucs player ruled out for Sunday is backup CB Marcus Williams. DT Beau Allen, TE O.J. Howard, CB Carlton Davis and S Jordan Whitehead all questionable ... (Greg Auman on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Cameron Brate has been talked up as a popular play this week but it appears Howard has a legitimate shot at playing against the Falcons. He was limited in practiced on Wednesday and Thursday but practiced in full on Friday. If Howard is active or plays, it will take the shine off Brate.

|Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard sprained his MCL and is expected to miss two to four weeks, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

FFToday's Take: Howard has been a low-end TE1 option with 222 yards and 1 TD through four games. His absence will allow Jameis Winston favorite, Cameron Brate, to see increased opportunities. The Bucs have a bye in Week 5.
