FFToday's Take: It's possible Carson can make it back before the end of the regular season, but a return around the NFL Playoffs seems more likely. HC Pete Carroll seemed to suggest Thomas Rawls will get the first shot at reclaiming the starting job, but the whole Seattle backfield is a mess at the moment. Eddie Lacy will likely steal carries from Rawls, while oft-injured C.J. Prosise and J.D. McKissic could share work on passing downs.
| Chris Carson has "significant" ankle injury|
Mixed backfield moving forward

|Seahawks rookie running back Chris Carson could be sidelined for an extended period of time after suffering what coach Pete Carroll called “a significant’’ ankle inury in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 46-18 win over the Colts. (Seattle Times)|
FFToday's Take: Carson was placed in an air cast late in the fourth quarter. Eddie Lacy and J.D. McKissic we're both used after Carson's departure. It's not out of the question that Thomas Rawls works his way back into mix after being a healthy scratch in Werk 4.
| Prosise unlikely to play, ankle injury|
Carroll: "He’s got a significant ankle”
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 27, 3:45 pm
|The Seahawks will likely play without running back C.J. Prosise against the Indianapolis Colts due to an ankle injury suffered late in Sunday’s game at Tennessee. “He’s got an ankle that we are concerned about,” Carroll said. “We’ll see how it goes, give him a couple days before we have to declare what’s going on with him. But he’s got a significant ankle.” (Seattle Times)|
FFToday's Take: It sounds like Prosise could be dealing with a multi-week injury, leaving Chris Carson to see the bulk of the work in Week 4 against the Colts. Prosise is mainly a third-down back and that role could go to J.D. McKissic. Carson is shaping up as an RB2.
| Seahawks expecting to get Thomas Rawls back|
By: Jake Gordon | Wed Sep 13, 6:00 pm
|Seattle coach Pete Carroll reiterated during his Wednesday press conference that the Seahawks expect that Rawls will return for Sunday’s home opener against the 49ers after he sat out last week with a high ankle sprain suffered in the exhibition opener Aug. 13. Rawls practiced fully last week but the team decided to hold him out one more week hoping he would get to 100 percent before returning.
FFToday's Take: Eddie Lacy, Chris Carson and Thomas Rawls look like their destined to form a RBBC in Seattle. Although Lacy seems like the current favorite to start, the division of labor is a crapshoot. Until the distribution of touches becomes clearer, all three running backs are risky fantasy plays heading into Week 2.
| Thomas Rawls, T.J. Yeldon could be held out|
Gametime decision for both RBs

FFToday's Take: Rawls has been labeled a gametime decision. He's dealing with a high ankle sprain since August 13th. Expect to Eddie Lacy to start with C.J. Prosise and Chris Carson also seeing action. Yeldon was limted in practice this week with a hamstring injury. Chris Ivory would get more run if Yeldon sits.
