|Browns trade Carlos Hyde to Jaguars|
Browns receive 5th round draft pick
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 19, 3:00 pm
|The Jacksonville Jaguars, in need of rushing help because Leonard Fournette is out indefinitely with a hamstring injury, traded a fifth-round draft pick to the Cleveland Browns for running back Carlos Hyde on Friday. "I don't know when he'll be ready," Marrone said. "I really don't." (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: The Jaguars are bolstering their RB depth due to Fournette's injury adding Jamaal Charles last week and now Hyde. T.J. Yeldon is expected to play this week despite dealing with an ankle injury. This move is a big boost to Nick Chubb's fantasy value as he will likely start on Sunday and be Cleveland's early-down and goaline option moving forward. Duke Johnson may finally get to see the volume the coaching staff touted during the off-season.
| Fournette out for Week 6|
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Oct 10, 10:42 am
|Running back Leonard Fournette will miss his fourth game because of a right hamstring injury and the Jacksonville Jaguars will be starting their third-string left tackle when the team plays at Dallas on Sunday. Left tackle Josh Wells (groin), who was starting after Cam Robinson's season-ending knee injury, nickelback D.J. Hayden (toe) and Fournette won't play Sunday, coach Doug Marrone announced Wednesday. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: The Jags are thin at running back with Corey Grant being placed in IR with a Lisfranc injury. Diving deep into the free agent waters, they signed Jamaal Charles yesterday. T.J. Yeldon will remain the starter for Week 6 against the Cowboys. The Cowboys represent a negative matchup for running backs.

|Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette won’t play Sunday, HC Doug Marrone says... (John Oehser on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: The Jaguars aren't messing around this week, ruling out their star running back on Wednesday suggesting Fournette isn't close to playing with his injured hamstring. T.J. Yeldon should see the majority of snaps this week with Corey Grant filling a backup role. Yeldon gets a decent matchup against the leaky Chiefs defense, making him a solid RB2.
| Leonard Fournette not expected to play|
T.J. Yeldon should suit up
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Sep 23, 8:35 am
|Jaguars’ RB update: T.J. Yeldon expected to play today. Leonard Fournette not expected to play today, per league sources. Jaguars going to play it safe with Fournette. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: This is somewhat of a surprise after Fournette was able to get in limited practices all week. Yeldon and Corey Grant should handle the bulk of the workload for the Jaguars against the Titans. With Fournette out last week, Yeldon saw 12 touches with Grant handling 10 including 6 receptions. Yeldon is a viable Flex play in most leagues.
| Leonard Fournette limited on Wednesday|
Hamstring injury, Yeldon sidelined with ankle injury
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 19, 5:30 pm
|Running back Leonard Fournette worked on a limited basis Wednesday after missing Sunday’s victory over the New England Patriots with a hamstring injury. “He looked good,” Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles said of Fournette. "I think there is definitely more of an emphasis on throwing the ball when Leonard is not in there. We can’t do some of the stuff that our offense is built around doing when he isn’t healthy and in there." (Jaguars.com)|
FFToday's Take: Fantasy owners should take note of Bortles' quote on their pass-heavy approach when Fournette is out of the lineup. It appears Fournette is on track to play this week but T.J. Yeldon missed practice today with an ankle injury.
| Jags not optimistic on Fournette's availability|
Could be inactive Week 2
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Sep 16, 1:30 am
|There is a long time to go before game time, but the
#Jaguars are not optimistic that star RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) will play vs. the #Patriots, sources say. Not a surprise, he didn’t practice all week and they did promote Brandon Wilds from the practice squad. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Adding a running back from the practice squad is good sign that the team expects to be without Fournette in Week 2. His absence would lead to an increased workload for T.J. Yeldon who would be inline for RB2 value against the Patriots.
| Fournette shaping up to be game-time decision?|
By: Doug Orth | Thu Sep 13, 8:25 pm
|Jags RB Leonard Fournette on his hamstring injury and Sunday availability: “I started running on it today (he didn’t practice). It feels good. So that’s progress. We’ll see. It’s a game-time decision... I like my chances more and more as the day has gone on." (ESPN - Jeff Darlington)|
FFToday's Take: Owners should obviously have a backup plan in place, but it's hard to imagine him sitting out against the Patriots if he is feeling good by the weekend. Although much has been made about Fournette's durability this week, there was some thought about him returning to last week's game before the team decided to play it safe. The Jaguars could always opt to have him split carries with T.J. Yeldon this week, but most owners should start Fournette if he is active Sunday.
| Fournette expected to test hamstring on Friday|
Could play without practicing
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 12, 12:45 pm
|Leonard Fournette, a second-year veteran who sustained a hamstring injury in the first half of the Jaguars’ season-opening victory over the New York Giants this past Sunday, is expected to work on the side when the Jaguars practice late Wednesday morning and early Wednesday afternoon.
Marrone said the plan is to have Fournette test the injury Friday afternoon. (Jaguars.com)|
FFToday's Take: Fournette left Week 1 with a hamstring injury and while the injury has been considered minor it appears the Jaguars running back will be limited or not practice at all until Friday. Marrone did go on to say that Fournette doesn't have to practice in order to play on Sunday. T.J. Yeldon would be a viable RB2 play in Week 2 if Fournette sits.
| Leonard Fournette has hamstring injury|
HC believes ailment to be "minor"
By: Doug Orth | Mon Sep 10, 6:55 pm
|Doug Marrone: Doctors say RB Leonard Fournette has a "minor hamstring injury." (Phillip Heilman on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Marrone told reporters after the game that Fournette's injury was in a "good part" of his hamstring and an injury that did not keep the running back from playing when he suffered a similar one in college. This week's practice reports figure to paint the picture as far as whether he'll suit up against New England. Given the opponent, owners should expect Fournette to play if at all possible in Week 2. T.J. Yeldon would be a solid RB2 play if Fournette has to sit.
