| LeSean McCoy expected to play|
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Jan 7, 9:00 am
|#Bills RB LeSean McCoy, who will play today despite a gimpy ankle, has watched more film this week than usual to compensate for physical limitations. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Adam Schefter reported last night that McCoy was expected to play. There's no doubt McCoy won't be 100 percent on his sprained ankle. As a result, he's not a recommended fantasy option this week. Mike Tolbert and Marcus Murphy are next up on the depth chart.
| McCoy limited at practice Friday|
WRs Benjamin, Thompson also limited
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Jan 5, 11:15 am
|Bills LB Matt Milano (hamstring) will not practice Friday but coach Sean McDermott said Friday there is "hope" that Milano can play. TE Charles Clay (knee), QB/WR Joe Webb (ankle), RB LeSean McCoy (ankle), WR Kelvin Benjamin (knee) and WR Deonte Thompson (shoulder) will be limited. CB Shareece Wright (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: McCoy will likely be listed as questionable and be a gametime decision. If he ends up being ruled out, Mike Tolbert and Marcus Murphy will carry the running back load.
| LeSean McCoy stretches, no individual drills|
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Jan 4, 12:50 pm
|LeSean McCoy left practice with a trainer Thursday after stretching in a move that appeared to be planned. He did not take part in individual drills, but did more than Wednesday, when he was not in stretching. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: McCoy missed practice as Wednesday as well. He's shaping up to be a gametime decision. Even if he does play he's going to be hard to trust given he was carted off with an ankle injury last week. Mike Tolbert and Marcus Murphy would handle the rushing load if McCoy sits.
| Bills giving McCoy another day off Wednesday|
Day-to-day with ankle injury
By: Jake Gordon | Wed Jan 3, 10:09 am
|The status of LeSean McCoy remains up in the air heading into Sunday's tilt versus the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott said Wednesday that the running back is "day-to-day" with a sprained ankle suffered in Sunday's victory. McCoy will not practice Wednesday.
McCoy, the centerpiece of the Bills' offense, will receive treatment throughout the week, but will not be fully healthy even if he's able to get on the field Sunday.
FFToday's Take: This lines up with what was said yesterday. LeSean McCoy is expected to be a game-time decision this weekend and will not be at full health even if he does play. This will certainly limit his effectiveness. Mike Tolbert and Marcus Murphy will be in the mix for carries as well making the Bills backfield one to avoid for fantasy purposes.
| LeSean McCoy has a "chance" to play in WC game|
Suffered ankle injury in Week 17 and did not return
By: Doug Orth | Mon Jan 1, 7:15 pm
|Bills coach Sean McDermott said Monday that RB LeSean McCoy has a "chance" to play Sunday in the playoffs against the Jaguars. McDermott said he received "good news" that McCoy's X-rays were negative but would not confirm McCoy sprained his ankle. (ESPN - Mike Rodak)|
FFToday's Take: Based on the fact he was carted off, he seems doubtful to play against the Jaguars. Marcus Murphy and Mike Tolbert shared carries after McCoy's departure, but neither player brings to the table what McCoy does. With McCoy unlikely to play, the Jacksonville D/ST will be the top play among fantasy defenses in playoff leagues and DFS formats this weekend.
