2017 Outlook
Depth Chart
With the departure of veterans Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, second-year wide receiver Robby Anderson is slated to be the No.2 receiving option in New York alongside Quincy Enunwa.

Anderson posted some impressive performances last season, including six catches for 99 yards Week 14 against San Francisco, followed by a four-catch, 80 yard game against Miami the following week that included a receiving touchdown.

Although 85 to 90 targets is not out of the question for Anderson in 2017, the targets will be low value passes from a collection of below average Jet quarterbacks, making Anderson a limited option in anything but deep standard leagues and PPR formats.

Injury Josh McCown done for the season
Broken left hand
By: Doug Orth | Mon Dec 11, 6:05 pm

New York Jets
Josh McCown (hand) is out for the season, Bowles said. McCown needs surgery. (New York Post - Brian Costello)

FFToday's Take: McCown has been the engine that has powered the Jets' surprising offense this season. The falloff from him to Bryce Petty is substantial, and it means players like Jermaine Kearse and Austin Seferian-Jenkins go from every-week starters in some leagues to bench options. Robby Anderson excelled last year with Petty, so perhaps he can remain a viable back-end starting option in fantasy.

Injury Robby Anderson fails to complete practice
Hamstring injury
By: Doug Orth | Thu Dec 7, 11:55 pm

New York Jets
Potential bad news for the Jets: WR Robby Anderson, their best offensive threat, failed to complete practice today after aggravating a hamstring injury. He was listed yesterday with a hamstring but practiced fully. Asked when the setback occurred, coach Todd Bowles said, "Probably today." Bowles said he hopes it's not serious, but was non-committal on Anderson's status for Sunday. (ESPN - Rich Cimini)

FFToday's Take: NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Anderson "should be OK," but the receiver was already going to have a tough matchup against the Denver Broncos' cornerback trio of Aqib Talib, Chris Harris Jr. and Bradley Roby even at 100 percent. If Anderson is limited in any way, Austin Seferian-Jenkins would likely benefit the most in what was already a good matchup for him.

Injury Bilal Powell misses practice Wednesday
Calf injury
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Oct 18, 1:45 pm

New York Jets
Did not practice: Wilkerson, Robby Anderson (ankle), Bilal Powell (calf) Limited: Ealy, Matt Forte #nyj (Brian Costello on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Powell missed Week 6 with a calf injury and is off to a bad start for Week 7. In his absence, Matt Forte handled 17 touches with Elijah McGuire accumulating 10. The Jets travel to Miami in Week 7.
