| Rashad Jennings sits Wednesday|
Unlikely to play this week
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Dec 17, 1:15 pm
|Giants running back Rashad Jennings' sprained ankle had been making progress. So much so that he wasn't on the team's injury report at any point last week. He didn't practice on Wednesday and appears unlikely to play this week. (NJ.com)|
FFToday's Take: Look for Andre Williams to get the start this week. Williams is averaging 3.3 yards per carry and has a tough matchup against the Rams defense that has given the up the 7th-fewest fantasy points to running backs. He would be a volume-based, low-end RB2 in Week 16.

Status for final two games uncertain

|Giants running back Rashad Jennings injury-plagued season took another unfortunate turn, as he was forced to exit the game after just one carry after re-aggravating his ankle injury. (NJ.com)|
FFToday's Take: Jennings got the start but didn't last long. Andre Williams finished the game with 18 carries but only 44 yards. We'll see if the Giants decide to end the season for Jennings this week or try and get him active for the last two games.
| Rashad Jennings active, role unclear|
Ankle injury, practiced Friday

|Rashad Jennings passes test to play. Giants expect to ease him into game & see how he holds up on 3rd dn. Could expand role if he does well. (Chris Mortensen)|
FFToday's Take: Not really want fantasy owners want to hear as it appears Jennings will be less than 100% but is expected to see action. If you have to choose between Andre Williams and Jennings, I'd lean toward the healthier of the two, Williams.
| Jennings practices Friday, questionable|
50-50 split with Williams if he plays
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Dec 5, 8:00 pm
|Giants running back Rashad Jennings is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Tennessee with an ankle injury. Jennings practiced for the first time this week on Friday. He was a limited participant and looked somewhat hobbled by the sprained right ankle. It probably would be closer to a 50-50 split with rookie Andre Williams if he's able to play on Sunday. (NJ.com)|
FFToday's Take: Even if Jennings plays he's not going to be 100%. Fantasy owners with Williams on their roster would be best served if Jennings is made Inactive on Sunday. If Jennings does play it would be hard to trust either as a RB2 or FLEX.
| Rashad Jennings misses practice Wednesday|
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Dec 3, 12:30 pm
|Running back Rashad Jennings (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday and his chances of being ready for Sunday in Tennessee don't appear promising. The Giants signed running back Chris Ogbonnaya on Tuesday to brace for his absence (NJ.com)|
FFToday's Take: Not good news for Jennings' owners. If Jennings does miss Week 14, Andre Williams would be the beneficiary of a juicy matchup against a Titans run defense that gives up the second-most fantasy points to running backs.

Former Panther joins G-men

|The Giants also signed running back Chris Ogbonnaya, who has played in 51 regular-season games for St. Louis, Houston, Cleveland and Carolina with 12 starts. Ogbonnaya played in five games for the Panthers earlier this season and ran for 50 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. He was released on Nov. 3. (Giants.com)|
FFToday's Take: Starting running back Rashad Jennings is nursing an ankle injury so this move may be insurance in case Jennings isn't ready to play on Sunday. If Jennings does sit, rookie Andre Williams would get the start in a plus matchup against the weak Titans run defense.
| Peyton Hillis placed on IR, concussion|
Rashad Jennings to return in Week 11
By: Mike Krueger | Sat Nov 15, 1:00 pm
|The Giants injured reserve list keeps getting longer. The latest is veteran running back Peyton Hillis, who suffered a concussion in the first half Sunday in Seattle. Hillis was "not good" and sent home from the Giants facility earlier in the week, according to coach Tom Coughlin. (NJ.com)|
FFToday's Take: Rashad Jennings will return to the lineup this week and be backed up by rookie Andre Williams. Hillis played a minimal role in the Giants offense, totaling 26 carries, 115 yards; 10 receptions 87 yards.

Giants' top RB limited in practice
By: Jake Gordon | Wed Nov 12, 5:30 pm
|EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- The New York Giants' running game could have its best back available when it plays the San Francisco 49ers.
After missing the last four weeks with sprained knee, Rashad Jennings hopes to return to the lineup on Sunday when the Giants (3-6) face the 49ers (5-4) at MetLife Stadium.
Jennings practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, and both he and coach Tom Coughlin were optimistic that he would be able to play in what has become a must-win game for New York.
(AP - Sports)|
FFToday's Take: New York desperately needs Rashad Jennings to return to the lineup and restore some semblance of a running game. If he is cleared to play, he will have RB2/Flex appeal for week eleven fantasy lineups. Andre Williams will still be in the mix for carries but loses what little fantasy value he had in a backup role.
| Rashad Jennings likely to return in Week 11|
Out since suffering MCL sprain in Week 5
By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 10, 2:50 pm
|Still early, but I am told it's "looking good" for Giants RB Rashad Jennings to return from knee injury this week. (Dan Graziano on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Jennings got in some practices last week prior to the Giants' loss to Seattle, so he is trending in the right direction. Andre Williams has proven to be an impatient runner thus far and largely ineffective (2.9 YPC for the season, with no game above 3.5 since Jennings' injury), so it wouldn't be a surprise if Jennings returned to a full workload in Week 11 - assuming he is cleared to play against San Francisco.

Limited in practice Thursday; recovering from sprained MCL
By: Doug Orth | Thu Nov 6, 4:30 pm
|Rashad Jennings was a surprise participant in practice Thursday, warming up with the team and then taking some scout team reps later on. The Giants officially listed him as limited.
"Itís getting close," Jennings said. "No setbacks. Felt like myself a little bit. Tomorrow I plan on doing the same thing, and just going from there."
Jennings has missed the past three games with a sprained MCL. He was among the league leaders in rushing when he went down. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: HC Tom Coughlin said Jennings "did pretty well", but did not speculate about his status for Sunday. Despite the optimism, the Giants have been cautious all along with Jennings, so it would be a surprise to see him play this week. It seems much more likely the team would give their running back one more week to make sure he is 100 percent, making him a decent bet to be on the field in Week 11 against the Niners. Andre Williams and Peyton Hillis will likely split time in the interim.
