| Watkins, Jackson are both active for Bills|
Both dealing with groin injuries

|Fred Jackson and Sammy Watkins are ACTIVE. (Buffalo Bills via Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Both Bills' players are dealing with groin injuries. I'd be leery of starting Jackson if you have other viable options at the running back position. I'd be more comfortable starting Watkins but either are 100 percent and represent considerable risk.
| Sammy Watkins misses practie Friday|
Status for Sunday in question
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 7, 11:48 am
|The status of the Bills’ leading receiver for Sunday’s game vs. Kansas City remains in some question.
Wide receiver Sammy Watkins (groin) was not spotted at practice on Friday, multiple club beat writers reported, including Mike Rodak of ESPN.com. (Pro Football Talk)|
FFToday's Take: Watkins tweaked his groin in practice Wednesday and missed practice Thursday and Friday. It appears he will be a gametime decision. The Bills do play early on Sunday so we will know his status when the Inactives come out at 11:30 am Eastern. Robert Woods and Mike Williams would likely start if Watkins sits.
| Sammy Watkins aggravates groin injury|
Limited in practice Wednesday

|Sammy Watkins suffered a groin injury today and wasn't able to finish practice. Marrone says he "doesn't know" about Sammy Watkins' availability for Sunday. My take on the coach's body language is there is serious doubt. (Jay Skurski via Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: We'll get a better indication of the seriousness of this injury tomorrow. If Watkins doesn't practice, his availability for Sunday's game against the Chiefs will be in doubt. Owners should be looking at alternate options immediately.
|Watkins, Woods already notice change at QB|
Bills' top WRs react to Orton as the new starter
By: Doug Orth | Thu Oct 2, 4:50 pm
|We're just one practice into the Kyle Orton era, but the Buffalo Bills' top receivers have already noticed a difference in Orton from former starter EJ Manuel.
"We just had a different approach to practice. [Orton] demands what he wants out of us," rookie Sammy Watkins said. "He reads it quicker, the ball is coming out faster. That's just some things that we have to adjust to."
Fellow receiver Robert Woods saw the same: "His directness in the huddle, telling us what to look for and be ready for when we're breaking the huddle when he calls the play." (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: This isn't exactly a shocking revelation, but notable that both receivers were so quick to say something to the media about it. Orton isn't going to turn this offense into a passing-game juggernaut, so the numbers of Watkins and Woods aren't going to skyrocket. However, both players should see a noticeable rise in fantasy value with a more consistently accurate quarterback.
| Sammy Watkins practices in full|
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 3, 1:00 pm
|Rookie wide receiver Sammy Watkins was a full participant in practice, after a pair of rib injuries in the preseason knocked him out of two games and forced him to miss a third.
“We’re just going to wait and see for the game [on Watkins],” Marrone said, when pressed for more information. (ProFootballTalk)|
FFToday's Take: The head coach isn't going to give anything away but all indications are that Watkins will be able to play on Sunday against the Bears. Watkins was dinged twice in the ribs this preseason. The Bills looked shaky on offense which has deflated Watkins' value over the last couple weeks. His Week 1 matchup frightening, but the Bills quarterback play is.

Bills receiver suffers yet another rib injury this preseason
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Aug 28, 6:58 pm
|WR Sammy Watkins (ribs) downgraded to out for the game. (Tim Graham via Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Watkins initially injured his ribs earlier this preseason and it appears the hit he took was on the same side (left). Watkins and starting QB EJ Manuel started the fourth preseason game because the Bills No.1 offensive unit has been putrid this preseason. More to come on the severity of Watkins' injury...
