2015 Outlook
Depth Chart
The Titans finished the 2014 regular season ranked 26th in rushing yards per game. Although a rookie, Bishop Sankey struggled to be the focal point in the running game so much so that he never rushed for more than 61 yards in any game. Sankey finds himself atop the depth chart entering the year, and the pressure to perform is already mounting. The good news is he has the talent to succeed and make fantasy owners forget his 2014 campaign. Optimistic owners will gamble on improved patience, better blocking and more use of his receiving skills working alongside a new quarterback to regain his fantasy appeal. If Sankey does not fly out of the gates to open the season, he wonít have to look too far over his shoulder. The teamís choice to draft David Cobb was not only made to add a complementary runner to the fold, but also because the coaching staff is hedging their bets on whether Sankey can be the lead back moving forward. For now, Sankey remains the lead option in the Titansí RBBC approach and a RB4 or flex option for fantasy purposes depending on the depth of your league.

Sankey "odds-on" favorite to start Week 1
The Tennessean breaks down the Titans' RB depth chart

Tennessee Titans
Bishop Sankey is the odds-on favorite to be the starter when the season gets underway, simply because he has a yearís experience and a full offseason under his belt. Assuming thatís the case, who backs him up? Dexter McCluster is a possibility, but heís more of a situational player, not a workhorse. David Cobb is a draft pick and a versatile player, but he also missed much of the offseason with a hamstring injury. Antonio Andrews will as usual be an underdog, but he showed enough promise in the preseason and practices of 2014 that he will be given a good, long look. (Tennessean)

FFToday's Take: Last season was a massive disappointment for Sankey, who performed well below the standard expected of the first running back drafted in 2014. Tennessee did him no favors either, though, providing him with shoddy run-blocking and pulling him at seemingly every opportunity for McCluster and Shonn Greene. Having a run threat like Marcus Mariota at quarterback and more spread concepts should help Sankey, who thrived in such an offense in college.

Titans release RB Shonn Greene
Scheduled to make $3.25 million
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Jun 16, 9:32 am

Tennessee Titans
The Titans plan to release running back Shonn Greene this morning, according to sources familiar with the situation. Greene, who signed a three-year, $10 million contract in 2013, was scheduled to make $3.25 million in the final year of his contract this year. (The Tennessean)

FFToday's Take: The Titans have drafted two running backs in the last two years. Bishop Sankey and David Cobb (rookie) will handle the bulk of the carries in 2015. Greene had back-to-back 1000-yard rushing seasons with the Jets but never found his footing in Tennessee.
