Packers TE Rodgers stood out in OTAs
Rookie near the top of suprisingly competitive position
By: Doug Orth | Thu Jun 26, 4:10 pm

Green Bay Packers
There might not be any jobs won or lost in the spring. It only feels that way. As rookie Richard Rodgers plucked passes with one hand separating himself as an MVP of organized team activities Brandon Bostick got antsy. And you can see why Bostick got anxious during OTAs. If Rodgers proves himself as an in-line blocker, the third-round pick could start. Ryan Taylor flashed surprising athleticism. Jake Stoneburner is getting more opportunities. Andrew Quarless, out all spring, finished 2013 as the starter. And there are also rookies Colt Lyerla and Justin Perillo. (Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel)

FFToday's Take: Bostick may have been considered the frontrunner earlier in the spring, but it is clear Rodgers has nearly - if not completely - closed the gap. Lyerla is easily the most athletic of the bunch and has major upside in this offense, although his off-field history may be too much to overcome. Unless Lyerla really shows well, expect Rodgers and Bostick to battle it out for the right to start Week 1.
