| Marqise Lee done for 2018|
Sustained knee ligament damage in third preseason game
By: Doug Orth | Mon Aug 27, 5:30 pm
|Jaguars’ WR Marqise Lee is being placed on injured reserve today. He suffered knee ligament damage Saturday night vs Atlanta on a hit that some believe is related to NFL’s rules changes. Lee’s season is over. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)|
FFToday's Take: A tough break to say the least for the Jaguars' top receiver from a year ago. However, Jacksonville has the depth at the position to take the hit, as Keelan Cole likely moves into more of a primary pass-catching role in this offense - possibly giving him WR4 upside. This news also makes Dede Westbrook a player worth stashing in fantasy as a WR4/5. Donte Moncrief projected to be more of a red zone weapon before Lee's injury and may only see a minimal bump as a result of his absence.

Doesn't look good
By: Mike Krueger | Sat Aug 25, 6:30 pm
|Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Marqise Lee suffered a left knee injury when he was tackled by Atlanta Falcons safety Damontae Kazee midway through the first quarter of Saturday night's preseason game at TIAA Bank Field. The Jaguars' receiving corps came out onto the field to be with Lee as he was put onto a cart and left the field. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: We'll have to wait for an official diagnosis but the injury didn't look good. Lee was penciled in as one of the Jags starting wideouts. If he is to miss any time, Dede Westbrook and Keelan Cole are likely to see an increased workload.
|Jaguars content with "catch by committee"|
No go-to receiver as of yet in Jacksonville
By: Doug Orth | Mon Aug 20, 6:40 pm
|The Jaguars have an unusual wide receiver situation. There isn't an alpha, go-to receiver on the books as of now. The preseason and regular season could lead to someone's emergence but right now it seems that the Jaguars are content with a "catch by committee" group. Dede Westbrook and DJ Chark have been the standouts of training camp, while Keelan Cole and Marqise Lee have received the majority of the starter reps during practice. Donte Moncrief, as expected, is the group's wild card, flashing inconsistent talent throughout the summer. (First Coast News - Mike Kaye)|
FFToday's Take: This has been the general consensus with Jacksonville's receiver group, although it is nice to get input from a team insider about where each player stands. It should come as no surprise if Cole and Westbrook emerge from the pack as the season progresses, but as of now, it appears the Jaguars could have a glut of receivers in the 40-60 catch range.
