|The Jaguars’ Marqise Lee has immense talent as a large target with great leaping, catching and body control ability. However, he is far from a polished receiver. More often than not, Blake Bortles was simply throwing the ball in Lee’s general vicinity rather than hitting him in stride to make a play. Inconsistency will once again be the largest fantasy hurdle for anyone investing in the former Trojan on draft day. He did show improved performances with an increased workload after Allen Robinson went down late in the year. A knee injury has kept him out of OTAs early this preseason and further time away from the field will only allow other receivers to pass him on the depth chart.

Jaguars receiver missed OTAs with knee injury

|Jaguars receivers coach Jerry Sullivan gave an update on Marqise Lee’s status earlier today.
“My understanding is that he’ll be ready to go [next week],” Sullivan said. “But we have to manage him a little bit to make sure he’s OK in term so his health.” To me, that means Lee will be given the occasional day off from practice or have his snaps curtailed early in camp so he won’t be over-taxed.

FFToday's Take: Lee missed OTAs and minicamp with a knee injury and missed three games last year with a hamstring injury. He's scheduled to be a participant in camp next week but may be on a pitch count in terms of his reps and practice time. He's currently behind Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns on the depth chart.

Marqise Lee, Alle Robinson sidelined

|What remains constant around the Jaguars: Allen Hurns taking advantage of his teammates’ injuries. Hurns has continued his trajectory, partly because Marqise Lee (knee), Allen Robinson (foot), Bryan Walters (hamstring) and Damian Copeland (quad) missed all nine OTAs or were slowed at some point. It’s only June 14, but my receiver Trust Chart (not depth chart) would be 1. Robinson; 2. Hurns and 3. Rashad Greene. (Florida Times Union)|
FFToday's Take: Hurns notched two touchdowns in Week 1 last season and posted another two-touchdown game in Week 9. With Lee expected to miss the upcoming minicamp, Hurns will continue to get reps with the first team. Even if he's able to win a starting job out of training camp, it will be difficult to get excited about his fantasy prospects until the Jacksonville offense proves it can be more efficient.

Second-year receiver off to a rough start

|Jaguars HC Gus Bradley says WR Marqise Lee (knee) is week to week. Injured knee in Phase 2 of offseason program.. (John Oehser on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: The extent of the knee injury is unknown at this time but Lee isn't doing himself any favors as off-season practices begin. He's been penciled in as a starter opposite Allen Robinson but will have to shed the "injury-prone" label before fantasy owners trust him. Lee was bothered by hamstring and ankle injuries last season.
