2018 Outlook
Depth Chart
Buoyed by a flood of targets during his first four years in the league with Miami, Landry joins a Cleveland team that pays well, but plays like garbage. He won't see anything like the 161 looks he got last year on a team that hopes to run the ball more as much as it throws. The plan is to play Landy more on the outside, but let's not kid ourselves; he has a slot receivers skillset. WIth the decreased volume, Landry would have to repeat the career high 9 touchdowns he scored last year to hope to even crack the top 25. The murky Josh Gordon situation certainly could change the outlook for Landry, and I do think he'll easily lead the team in receptions, but unless he runs his routes farther than 5 yards downfield on a more consistent basis, he'll struggle to pile up yardage. (He actually had the 2nd most yards-after-catch of all receivers, yet finished 15th in total receiving yards). On the flip side, I do think his value jumps significantly should Mayfield get the call. The rookie signal caller's quick release and accuracy on short to intermediate throws plays perfectly into Landry's game. With Gordon in the lineup, Landry is a WR3. Should that situation change, Landry would be amazing value with WR2 upside.

Browns hopeful Gordon will return soon
WR still undergoing counseling in Florida
By: Doug Orth | Thu Aug 16, 6:20 pm

Cleveland Browns
Josh Gordon is still in Gainesville, Fla., under the care of his NFL-sanctioned medical team, and his future is in its hands. If his doctors believe he's ready to handle the demands of an NFL season and stay clean and sober, they will allow him to come back. Because Gordon didn't fail a test, no suspension is anticipated once he returns. Therefore, he could still be back by the start of the season. But no one knows for sure, not even the Browns. But the Browns still seem optimistic he's returning sometime soon. (Cleveland-Plain Dealer)

FFToday's Take: Owners would be wise to treat him as a high-risk, high-reward WR4, although few leagues will allow him to slip in a draft to the point where his upside meets his risk. All we can hope at the moment is that his life is on the right path and embracing the tools he is being provided with by his medical team to defeat his demons. For now, Jarvis Landry appears to be in line for another high-volume season.

Dez Bryant to Browns?
Embattled WR still drawing Cleveland's interest
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Aug 7, 8:54 am

Cleveland Browns
Dez Bryant hasn't accepted any offers or made any official visits to Cleveland, but he's still on the Browns wish list, according to Ian Rapoport. With Corey Coleman in Buffalo and Josh Gordon yet to report, there's a need for a talented veteran WR alongside Jarvis Landry, who'll mainly operate out of the slot. (NFL on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Bryant's fantasy stock wouldn't be solidified too perfectly in Cleveland, but there's some opportunity for high-end WR2 numbers if something comes together. Still -- there are more proven commodities in better spots for his ADP.

Stock rising for Antonio Callaway
Browns WR rising to top of depth chart with Corey Coleman in Buffalo
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Aug 7, 8:48 am

Cleveland Browns
Slot specialist Jarvis Landry may have emerged as Tyrod Taylor's go-to guy in Cleveland, but in the absence of Josh Gordon and recently traded Corey Coleman, WR Antonio Callaway has risen to the top of the depth chart. (PFT)

FFToday's Take: Callaway has looked exactly how he was described by general manager John Dorsey shortly after the Browns selected him early in the fourth round. Off-field issues torpedoed his draft stock, but many scouts believed Callaway could have been the first or second receiver selected in the draft if it were based just on overall talent and ability. He's drawn comparisons to Santonio Holmes and could be a sneaky fantasy pick.
