| Bills expected to start Nathan Peterman at QB|
Knee injury for Tyrod Taylor
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Dec 10, 7:15 am
|Buffalo is expected to start rookie QB Nathan Peterman vs Colts with QB Tyrod Taylor questionable with a knee injury, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Peterman took the majority of reps in practice this week so this doesn't come as a surprise. Peterman was a disaster in his last start against the Chargers, throwing 5 INTs in the first half. Kelvin Benjamin, Zay Jones and TE Charles Clay are not desirable fantasy options.
| Tyrod Taylor a gametime decision|
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Dec 8, 11:50 am
|The Bills' starting quarterback will be a game-time decision, coach Sean McDermott said Friday.
With Tyrod Taylor battling a knee injury, McDermott said the team was working through Taylor's availability.
McDermott said earlier this week that Taylor is the starter when healthy. (Buffalo News)|
FFToday's Take: If Taylor sits, Nathan Peterman would be the starter and we've seen what kind of disaster that could be. In positive news, Kelvin Benjamin should return to action which should help the offense as a whole.
| Bills place Jordan Matthews on IR|
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Dec 5, 4:00 pm
|The Buffalo Bills Tuesday placed defensive end Shaq Lawson and wide receiver Jordan Matthews on their injured-reserve list, ending the season for both players.
Lawson suffered an ankle injury in Sunday’s 23-3 loss against the New England Patriots. Matthews had been dealing with a knee issue. (Buffalo News)|
FFToday's Take: Matthews had a disappointing first season in Buffalo (25-282-1) battling both knee and thumb injuries. Zay Jones will operate as the Bills No.1 receiver with Kelvin Benjamin nursing a knee injury of his own. Wide receiver Brandon Reilly will be called up from the practice squad.
| LeSean McCoy misses practice Friday|
Expected to play
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Dec 1, 11:30 am
|LeSean McCoy has knee soreness and will not practice today. Doesn't look like he'll miss the game. Kelvin Benjamin OUT Sunday. (Sal Capaccio on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: McCoy practiced in full Thursday then popped up on the injury report with a knee issue. It sounds like the Bills will give their veteran RB some rest today and he's expected to start on Sunday. Mike Tolbert has been ruled out, meaning Travaris Cadet will again be McCoy's backup.
| Kelvin Benjamin has torn meniscus|
Timetable for return unknown
By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 27, 5:00 pm
|Bills confirm Kelvin Benjamin has a torn meniscus. Sean McDermott misunderstood a question about his injury today. (ESPN - Mike Rodak)|
FFToday's Take: It's a tough break for owners hoping he was on track for a Week 13 return. There's a strong chance Benjamin may not be able to play again during the final four games of the fantasy season, which would leave Zay Jones as the likely top receiver in Buffalo's ground-based offensive attack. If so, owners should treat the rookie as a low-end WR3.
| No practice for Benjamin Friday, Tolbert out|
Travaris Cadet will backup McCoy
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 24, 10:30 am
|The Buffalo Bills could be without their top wide receiver when they head to Kansas City to play the Chiefs.
Kelvin Benjamin is not expected to practice on Friday. He did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, either. Running back Mike Tolbert (hamstring) will be out for the Bills this week. (New York Upstate)|
FFToday's Take: With both Benjamin and Tolbert likely to miss, Zay Jones and Travaris Cadet will see an increase in snaps. Cadet will be the primary backup to LeSean McCoy while Jones, Jordan Matthews and Deonte Thompson will be the top three wideouts against the Chiefs.
| Kelvin Benjamin injures knee in Week 11|
Avoids serious injury; status unknown heading into Week 12
By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 20, 6:10 pm
|Bills HC Sean McDermott: no ligament damage for Kelvin Benjamin's knee. Still evaluating further. Hyde should be OK going forward. (BuffaloBills.com)|
FFToday's Take: If Benjamin can make it back in time, he has a good matchup awaiting him in Week 12. Then again, much figures to depend on who McDermott decides to start at quarterback. Nathan Peterman did nothing to inspire confidence in fantasy owners with five first-half interceptions in Week 11, while one has to wonder how long Buffalo will stick with Tyrod Taylor in any game considering it has already benched him once. If Taylor starts, Benjamin should be a low-end WR2 versus the Chiefs.
| Zay Jones out, Clay expected to play|
Bills TE hasn't played since Week 5
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 10, 11:30 am
|Left tackle Cordy Glenn and wide receiver Zay Jones have been ruled out for the game because of injuries. Jones hurt his knee against the Jets and the rookie’s absence will open up more room for Kelvin Benjamin in the offense as Benjamin makes his Bills debut after last week’s trade with the Panthers. Tight end Charles Clay is questionable, although the signs have been positive about his return from a knee injury. (Pro Football Talk)|
FFToday's Take: The Bills should have their tight end back but will be missing WR Zay Jones. Benjamin and Jordan Matthews should be the main targets on the outside for Tyrod Taylor. Clay is a viable tight end streamer for those desperate for a warm body at the position.
|Kelvin Benjamin to sit for TNF in Week 9|
Traded to Bills on Tuesday
By: Doug Orth | Thu Nov 2, 7:00 pm
|Kelvin Benjamin is out. (ESPN - Josina Anderson)|
FFToday's Take: The odds Benjamin was going to suit up for Buffalo just over 48 hours after his trade from the Panthers were long, so this shouldn't come as a shock. On the plus side, perhaps a week off will give his knee some more time to heal. Expect KB to suit up in Week 10 and pick up where he left off - keeping in mind the usual caveats about players changing teams midseason and learning the playbook - and remain a fantasy WR2 once Tyrod Taylor gets comfortable with him.

Panthers receive a third- and a seventh-round pick in the 2018 draft
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Oct 31, 3:35 pm
|The Carolina Panthers have traded top wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin to the Buffalo Bills for a third- and a seventh-round pick in the 2018 draft. By heading to Buffalo, Benjamin will be reunited with Bills head coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane, both of whom used to work in Carolina. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: The Bills are certainly a WR-needy team. McDermott is familiar with Benjamin from his days as the defensive coordinator in Carolina. This seems like a lateral move for Benjamin's fantasy value and slight bump up for Devin Funchess in Carolina.
| Kelvin Benjamin expected to play|
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Oct 22, 1:40 am
|Panthers WR Kelvin Benjamin, whose knee swelled up during week and is listed as questionable for today, will play vs. Bears, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Benjamin returned to practice Friday after missing Wednesday and Thursday. He'll start opposite Devin Funchess. Both have WR2 value against the Bears secondary that rank in the middle of the pack against wide receivers.
| Kelvin Benjamin expected to play|
Returned to practice Friday
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 20, 2:02 pm
|Wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin has been listed as questionable after missing practice the first two days of the week with a knee injury. That listing suggests Benjamin’s status is up in the air, but coach Ron Rivera said, via Joseph Person of the Charlotte Observer, that Benjamin is expected to play. (Pro Football Talk)|
FFToday's Take: Benjamin got hit on the knee last week causing a contusion on his knee. He missed practice Wednesday and Thursday but returned Friday and is expected to play. He'll be on the WR2 radar for Week 7 against the Bears.
| Kelvin Benjamin's Week 7 status in doubt|
Team reportedly a "little concerned" about swelling in knee
By: Doug Orth | Thu Oct 19, 7:30 pm
|Kelvin Benjamin's knee has swelled up after taking a shot in (Week 6). HC Ron Rivera said the team is a "little concerned." Same knee as before. (AP - Steve Reed)|
FFToday's Take: Benjamin sported a huge bruise on the outside of his left knee late last week, but he returned for a few snaps and ultimately enjoyed his finest game of the season. It is unknown whether that bruise is the issue or if this is related to his Week 3 left knee injury in which he was pulled down backwards. He did not miss a game with that injury, but it sounds as if owners should not plan on having KB available this week, leaving Devin Funchess as a potential low-end RB2 against the Bears.
| Kelvin Benjamin back at practice|
Normal participation in drills
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Sep 28, 11:23 am
|Kelvin Benjamin appears to be feeling fine. Normal participation in drills and no knee brace. (Jourdan Rodrigue on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Benjamin missed practice Wednesday after suffering a knee injury in Week 3 but his participation is an encouraging sign for his Week 4 availability. Given the state of the Panthers offense and Cam Newton specifically, it will be hard to trust Benjamin if he plays.
| No structural damage to Kelvin Benjamin's knee|
Panther WR left early in Week 3
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Sep 25, 12:30 pm
|#Panthers coach Ron Rivera confirms WR Kelvin Benjamin’s MRI on his knee showed no structural damage. Good news. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Benjamin finished Sunday with 2 catches for 8 yards after leaving in the first quarter with a knee injury. While no structural damage is good news, Benjamin could still miss some time depending on the diagnosis. We should know more about his availability for Week 4 later in the week.
