|Denard Robinson remains third on the depth chart trying to carve out a role on a team needing playmakers. Recently, general manager Dave Caldwell shed light on a hand injury that Robinson has been dealing with since playing for Michigan. Nerve damage to his throwing hand made it hard to keep his hand opened fully. Through rehabilitation he has been able to regain flexibility and comes into his second training camp with renewed confidence. The Jaguars drafted Robinson in the second round a year ago knowing about the nerve damage, so they obviously believe he is capable of developing into a productive piece of the offense. A strong camp would allow Jacksonville's coaching staff to use Robinson's athleticism in screens and option packages, yet his fantasy value remains limited until he proves himself.
|Denard Robinson to draw Week 8 start|
Gerhart to draw some reps
By: Doug Orth | Thu Oct 23, 3:50 pm
|No surprise, Jaguars HC Gus Bradley says Denard Robinson will start at RB against the Dolphins. Toby Gerhart (foot) will get some reps though. (Mark Long on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: This hardly qualifies as a shock, although it needs to be noted that Robinson draws a pretty difficult matchup. Despite last week's 100-yard game, Robinson needs a strong showing this week to get a firm hold on the job because Gerhart was the hand-picked feature back of this regime and could be given another shot if Robinson falters now that he is nearing full health.

Storm Johnson to get first crack at RB2 numbers
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 10, 1:45 pm
|Jaguars running back Toby Gerhart missed a second consecutive practice today and has been ruled out of Sunday’s game at Tennessee.
Gerhart injured his foot in Week 1 at Philadelphia and aggravated it last week against Pittsburgh. But he practiced Wednesday and suffered a setback.

FFToday's Take: Denard Robinson, Jordan Todman and Storm Johnson will all get a chance to carry the ball this week for the Jaguars. Johnson will get the first crack at being the "hot hand" and therefore holds the most fantasy value of the trio. He'll be a RB3 or Flex consideration at best.
