2016 Outlook
Depth Chart
Travis Kelce was one of, if not the hottest pre-season fantasy tight end heading into the 2015 season. Many believed that he was a “Gronk 2.0,” just waiting to explode into monster fantasy production. While he was good, Kelce fell far short of those expectations, leading many to consider him one of the biggest draft busts among the players who actually stayed healthy. Kelce’s 72 catches for 875 yards and five touchdowns would’ve been good enough to make him an elite fantasy tight end most seasons, but in an age where many tight ends are putting up high-end wide receiver-like numbers, what Kelce did in 2015 just wasn’t enough.

He’s still going off the board as a top five option at the position in most drafts, but there will undoubtedly be some leagues where Kelce falls further than he should due to his lackluster 2015 season. At just 26 years old, he’s still very young with plenty of upside. The Chiefs saw that this off-season when they gave him a nice contract extension, securing him for the next five years. That, along with the team not investing any sort of resources in new pass catchers, should be an indication to fantasy owners that Kansas City views Kelce as a huge player in their passing game going forward. He’s improved in each of his first three seasons as a pro and there’s little reason to believe that another improvement on his already good numbers isn’t in store.

Injury Jeremy Maclin out for Week 10
Groin injury
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 11, 2:00 pm

Kansas City Chiefs
Receiver Jeremy Maclin won’t play against the Carolina Panthers this weekend, and star linebacker Justin Houston will probably be listed “out” as well, according to Chiefs coach Andy Reid. (Kansas City Star)

FFToday's Take: Maclin missed practice all week and played very little in Week 9. His absence means increased opportunities for Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, Albert Wilson and Chris Conley. Hill is an interesting tournament option in daily contests.

Injury Spence Ware practicing, Maclin sits
Chiefs RB passes concussion protocol
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Nov 9, 12:30 pm

Kansas City Chiefs
Spencer Ware is making progress in his recovery from a concussion. He’s set to practice on Wednesday, which should put him on track to return to the lineup in Carolina this weekend. Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin will not be joining Ware on the practice field. Maclin aggravated a groin injury last Sunday and left the game after playing two snaps. (ProFootballTalk)

FFToday's Take: Ware is expected to play this week against Carolina and should see the bulk of the work with Charcandrick West filling the backup role. Maclin is a longshot to play, leaving Alex Smith with Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and Chris Conley as his top three weapons.

Injury Jeremy Maclin could miss more time
Hamstring injury
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Nov 7, 12:15 pm

Kansas City Chiefs
Reid said Maclin could conceivably miss more time with the groin injury, but he is day to day. (Terez Paylor on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Maclin came into Week 9 with a groin injury and couldn't make it out of the first quarter. While Andy Reid didn't say so, reading between the lines it sounds like Maclin will likely miss Week 10 against the Panthers. Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and Chris Conley would be the top receiving options for Alex Smith if Maclin sits.
