Bigger roles expected for Givens and Gibson
When it comes to those "options" at wide receiver and also at running back, Fisher was speaking specifically of the Rams’ draft class of 2012. Namely, wideouts Chris Givens and Brian Quick, and running backs Daryl Richardson and Isaiah Pead. Brian’s second year in the system, we expect him to (develop)," Fisher said. "The guy’s gonna make a lot of plays for us. And the same’s the case for Chris and Isaiah. Those three are gonna have to step up and play some major roles in our offense." (St. Louis Post-Dipsatch)

FF Today's Take: With Danny Amendola and Brandon Gibson leaving via free agency, Quick and Givens are penciled in as starting wideouts with Pead sharing time with Daryl Richardson in the backfield. The speedster Givens hauled in 42 catches, 698 yards and 3 TDs in his rookie season. As a group, their fantasy stock is on the rise.

Rams RB set to be a free agent on March 12th
Steven Jackson voided the final year of his contract with the Rams this week, officially making him an unrestricted free agent on Tuesday. Said Jackson, "I’ve opted out of my position of being with the team and being comfortable because I want to continue to still be the bell cow. So that’s how I want teams to look at me. That’s how I’m going to shop myself." (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)

FF Today's Take: Jackson believes he can still be a lead back in this league and wants to play for Super Bowl contending team. Wanting to get Daryl Richardson more involved in the offense, the Rams made it clear to Jackson that his role would be reduced in 2013. The Falcons and Packers seem like obvious fits for the 29-year-old running back.
