Jets re-sign QB Josh McCown, add RB Isaiah Crowell
One-year, $10 million
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Mar 13, 5:00 pm

New York Jets
After missing out on Kirk Cousins, the New York Jets addressed their gaping hole at quarterback Tuesday by bringing back Josh McCown, his agent announced via Twitter. The team also will get a boost in the backfield, as former Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell intends to sign a three-year contract with the Jets, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: The Jets are hell bent in having three viable running backs in there arsenal as Crowell will join Bilal Powell and Elijah McGuire in a crowded backfield. Crowell will likely be thrust into the lead role but will have hit or miss fantasy value. McCown in expected to start at quarterback in 2018 regardless of other moves at the position by the Jets in free agency or in the draft.

Vikings giving Cousins fully guaranteed contract
Three-year, $84 million deal
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Mar 13, 12:05 pm

Minnesota Vikings
Former Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins plans to sign a three-year, fully guaranteed $84 million contract with the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: While the deal isn't official it appears Cousins is headed to Minnesota on a fully guaranteed 3-year deal. Cousins has posted three-straight 4000-yard seasons in Washington and has been a fantasy QB1 during that time thanks to 13 rushing TDs. His move to Minnesota comes with an upgrade at wide receiver and a much better defense. At best, this is a lateral move for his fantasy prospects as the Vikings also sport a solid running game.

Broncos expected to sign Case Keenum
Shorter term deal, reportedly $18-$20 million per year
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Mar 13, 7:00 am

Denver Broncos
The Broncos have gone in all-in on Case Keenum, who is expected to sign with the Broncos when free agency officially opens Wednesday afternoon. With the Broncos heavily evaluating Cousins and Teddy Bridgewater before deciding Keenum would be their pick. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: The Broncos along with the Vikings, Jets, Bills and Cardinals are a few of the QB needy teams, so this "signing" (which can't take place until Wednesday) removes one team from the Kirk Cousins pursuit. Keenum was solid on the field for the Vikings (3547-22-7) but was more of a mid-range QB2 for fantasy purposes. He'll move into a similar situation in Denver with two above average wideouts. The Broncos have the No.5 pick in the upcoming draft.

Bridgewater expected to be free agent
Vikings not expected to franchise Bridgewater or Keenum
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Feb 27, 9:00 am

Minnesota Vikings
With the March looming and some murkiness around #Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater’s contract, he is expected to be a free agent, sources say. Minnesota is not planning to assert that his contract tolls and Bridgewater is proceeding as if he’s a free agent. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: While nothing is official it appears Bridgewater will be declared a UFA but as it sounds like the team is not going to contest the designation. The Vikings are not expected to put the franchise tag on Bridgewater or Case Keenum, making their pursuit of Kirk Cousins a top priority.

Bortles signs contract extension with JAX
$26.5 million guaranteed, $54 million over three years
By: Mike Krueger | Sat Feb 24, 9:00 pm

Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars answered their biggest off-season question Saturday night when they signed quarterback Blake Bortles to a contract extension through the 2020 season. Bortles was due a guaranteed $19 million this year had the Jaguars picked up his option by March 14. Per CBS Sports, Bortles’ deal includes $26.5 million guaranteed and worth $54 million over three years. (Florida Times Union)

FFToday's Take: Bortles had an uneven 2017, starting the year off slow but did manage some solid performances from Week 13 on and was able to get his completion percentage to 60 percent for the first time in his career. He finished 13th in overall fantasy points among QBs but was more of mid-range QB2 in F/Pts per game. This moves takes Jacksonville out of the conversation for Kirk Cousins.
